thats called a turboslide! it's a harmonica modification made by the company turboharp. it's a really interesting design, it uses magnets to push the reeds inside the instrument down and lowers their pitch. it only directly affects half the instrument, specifically the blow reeds (because of the nature of instrument, the blow reeds are easier to affect for this particular invention). however lower blow notes then make it possible to bend the draw notes deeper as well. this modification can only be applied to certain makes of harmonica, specifically ones made by Seydel which contain stainless steel reeds, which happen to be magnetic (this material has only gained popularity in the last 15-20 years, the more traditional reed being made of brass)
