Where can you find your pump model number or determine the difference between pumps? Our organization was gifted a non-functioning FieldLazer and the entire thing is covered in old/dried paint, so I can't find a model on the sprayer or the pump.
What’s the recommended torque specs for the upper packings?
Your video solved our problem!!! Took us 5 min to fix our machine the local paint store couldn’t get right in 2 months. They told us, our motor was bad because the pressure was killing the motor. It was the transducer the whole time! Thanks for making this video!!!

Great video, thank you. How much tsl should be added after/before each job?
I typically just fill the upper packing nut before a job. It’s like a little cup that holds the tsl. There’s a lot of controversy around the necessity tsl in the striping community but i still use it.

How often does the pump usually need repacked? Certain number of gallons?
I think Graco recommends 500 gallons or something like that. Honestly you just need to watch the top of the pump where the piston is. If you have paint leaking all over the piston and running down the pump you can try to tighten the packing nut. If the packing nut won’t tighten anymore, it’s time.
This is the best video I have seen on doing this. Im brand new to the industry and found out the hard way on making sure it is not under pressure. My garage floor has a good amount of paint on it now. Thanks for the awesome video.
