ToroTimecutter Overview 2022 75746
Overview of the 2022 Toro Timecutter model 75742.
I did a lot of shopping to select this machine. I am residential user with under an acre of lawn and wanted to have a nice machine that would give me a good cut and that I would enjoy using.
A lot of the videos out there focus on the latest and greatest battery operated zero turns, but that technology is still not priced for many. This video shows a few more features of the machine that are not out there.
Please help me to grow the channel by: subscribing, leaving a comment, and let me know what other video ideas you would like me to consider.

How to change rear pads and rotors on a 2008 Honda CRV
Nice! Thanks, Bruh. Just one tip--when re-filling your 3 qts--go easy with the fill. If you have to, dribble it in--OTHERWISE, a big "SLURP" happens where the skinny funnel meets the fill hole housing and you LOOSE FLUID! At $15 a qt--not good!
Please use Honda ATF-Z1 on the 2007 CRV AWD version. There are numerous threads about using Honda DW-1 or Z1. Page 273 of the 2007 Honda CRV owners manual clearly states using Z1. I know there are comments about the DW-1 is the newer version and backwards compatible, but why would you change from the original?? Just saying. Change to the new version at your own risk.
Good morning 🌅, I have just recently purchased one of these, I tried to use it as a boat ⛴️, 😂, the first time 🕰️, I got to close to the river that runs through my property, in France, it took me 2 hours to pull it out, I now leave at least a meter away from the river, I see you have not put updates on this machine, France.
Where did u get the hour meter at
Amazon.

@@diysharing4277 Thank you
I have this mower. Have you found blades? I ordered exactly what Toro part number for blades and it comes with a hole that is too small. I have the forged deck also. Should be 137-1999-03 blades but they dont fit.
Unfortunately I hit a tree root and bent the original OEM blades. These are the 42" ones I found on Amazon, which do a nice job chopping up the grass. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004QNMYJW/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Exactly what I needed. Thanks
On my 4th summer with mine. No issues to date. Wish front tires were tubeless.
Impressive... innovative. thank you
4 bottles only? someone told me that it needs like 5 or 6 bottles bc there's still some oil inside that don't come out like that...
Very helpful and well done video. Thanks
Im trying to reassemble the parking brakes shoes for a 2007 honda crv is it the same setup as the one in the pic? 2:36
Just did this. I used brake clean to clean out the ratchet hole. The worst part of the job is getting an extension far enough in the fill plug so you can open it and not strip it out.
I have the same crv so I used three quarts when changing please?
Would this mower be good enough for a small lawn care business I do residential
I talked to a guy that uses a Timecutter for small residential jobs and he recommended the 50" with the suspension seat. This machine could work as a first one until the business grows for you.
How has it been ? , from Ct also
First full season complete with leaves and it ran great, nice cut, and no issues. It does use more gas than the smaller machines but those blades spin fast! I am very happy with it.
Very well done review
Thank you!
And that lasts a year or so. Just go online and get a replacement pair of headlights for $160
Hate no arm rest
They do have them available for purchase. I just purchased a set for a new 75748 model.
i got this one they should have put a 5 gallon tank not sure what they were thinking with 3 other than that i like it
Totally agree with you. I know the motor is doing more but it does chug a lot of gas and I have to fill it up almost every time. Price of having a nice cut!
Good review. I got the same mower last fall. Only 10 hrs on it. Got the mulch kit which is great, keeps grass out of everything and makes the mower quieter. I picked up a black foot mat too. Front casters seem to rattle sometimes over bumps. Great mower tho. It was between a 48” liberty z and toro. Toro won.
I did a lot of research as well (I'm an engineer!) and this was the best choice if you could afford to pay a bit more than the low end machines. Mine is almost to 10 hours for that first oil change.
What about the transmission oil filter? Didn't change it, any reason why?
I believe that is not accessible without removing the transmission pan...that is outside my knowledge base.
@@diysharing4277 ...No there is an external inline filter Honda P/N 25430-PLR-003...look it up. There are a few RUclips videos about changing it. I've done it on a 2011 CRV...imagine Honda has a filter and claims it NEVER needs changing. Just look at the magnetic drain plug and the gunk on it now imagine what an inline filter will look like after 70-100Kmi and tell me it's not going to need replacement. You are right though about an internal filter and I believe Honda claims it doesn't need to be changed either. WOW
I am still trying to get the 3/8 bolt loose. Any chances of it breaking or damaging the housing if I use a cheater bar?
use liquid wrench and try from there.
@@diysharing4277 Thanks, after a wd40 soak and jacking it up so that I could get more leverage it came right off.
@@byronewhite nice outcome! Always feels great keeping our CR-Vs in top shape!
Tysm for this 🫶🏼
Glad this helped.
very informative I think these are 3000 ? no 800 ? or 2000 ? lets look nope, i have no idea 6 million ?
That's what happens when you record these live! And the entire production staff is one person. LOL.
Did you push the hook at the top into the head
Hi Rusty Travels. Yes, the top of the hook is bent into a U shape. I pushed that into the head. That prevents the decoy from rotating due to wind.
Nice short vid!
Glad you enjoyed it
Excellent video! I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to change my ‘07’s transmission fluid myself after checking out your video. Thanks for pointing out to use a 3/8 wrench and showing the location of the fill hole and giving nice clear instructions with time to digest and process them. (I wanted to replace the leather on both front door armrests, but it seems ridiculously complicated and flew over my head as everyone flew through the steps. Thanks for a clear and concise video-it’s greatly appreciated!
Thanks for the comment Ian!
You saved over $200 by re-storing them. it looks good, after all it's a 2009 car. Nice work!
Exactly! That was the reason for sharing with everyone. :)
Not a 3/8 socket.You need a 3/8 ratchet wrench
Good correction Nevri!
You don’t “have to” just use DW-1
Did the MGC multi gear concentrated make a difference? great video by the way
Not needed. I wouldn't risk it. Just use the Honda fluid.
I would think that if it was needed, Honda would include it in their fluid formulation.
My 2007 AWD also has the drain bolt in the front, but some are in the rear. Is it dependent on whether it's AWD or not?
Hi. I have an 08 honda crv. And I feel like sometimes it slips , its at 245k miles , should I drain it or what do yall think?
How long you haven't change it?
Honda dealer just told me to check transmission fluid while engine is off. You said different?
How long did it take you to do it
two hours the first day to buff out the yellow and then only 1.5 hours the next day to paint. I didn't rush and took my time.
When it comes to the diff maybe also the Transmission but I know for sure the Diff for the CRV's. Only use Honda brand as they have an additive already in the diff fluid that controls the consistency of viscosity as well as the rate at which the fluid goes up and down in temp when the crv is in operation. Very vital to it functioning correctly and also reduces stress on seals and other materials the fluid comes into contact inside the differential plates. When this fluid breaks down eventually you will notice a change in the sound from the diff when driving. If you use anything else other than the Honda brand it will not have these control additives specific to the plates inside and you will hear the difference and don't want that. Unfortunately, Honda is the only one in the world that makes that Diff fluid with those additives for specific reasons. Also, another Warning don't try and use that Honda diff Fluid on any other non-Honda Diff you may be asking for trouble.
where is front/back?
The differential is in the back of the car. The fill port on the 2008 is on the rear of the unit on the passenger side and the drain is in the front side on the driver side. Hope this helps!
At 4:53 I swear I thought you had some creature behind you getting ready to attack.
I see it too. Don't worry. It's just an alien observing our primitive vehicles. :)

Best humor comment on any of my videos! I'll see if I can add shadow puppets to future ones! LOL.
followed your instructions and i have an issue... after adding ATF through the funnel, the level shows high. in fact 3/4 inch above the 2 holes on the dipstick. should i be concerned? should i remove fluid?
It's important to see how much fluid comes out when you do a service like this. That way you can assure your putting back in close to what it had. It is possible you overfilled. Since this honda transmission is supposed to read at the second dot when HOT, not cold.
The level does change with temperature as stated below. If it's overserviced you should definitely adjust it to get it to the recommended level.
Drain some out or pump out from the stick entrance. Too much is hard on the Trans pump and other seals inside.
That is because according to Honda you are only supposed to add 3.5 quarts to an empty transmission!
Look up Chris fix
he does have great videos. This one is specific to the 2008.
What is that product MGC that dealer recommended? Unable to locate where to buy and what it is.
Is there a filter that needs to be replaced also? Im planning on doing this on my next engine oil change. I have honda crv 2010
A non-Honda Additive fluid??? if the dealer recommends it, you may have to think it twice, because each time the tech uses it, they save the cap and he will get $1 up to $5 for each cap to trade it to the company that sold that product to the dealership. Why do I know it? I did it as a tech in the dealership and I want to share it with all of you. Not a bad idea at all, but you don't have to do it. Good luck.
Good insight!!!!
Exact same as mine hahaha. Still haven’t decided if I should go for new headlights or do a kit and see how long it lasts. Will be putting in led lights since it’s easier to see with than halogen.
The kit if you want to save money. New ones are almost $200 each.
Great video, and very good detail
I just come to comment on the following: damn screw can not be harder to remove?
Why the hell would you spray paint them? Juat supposed to use the buffing compound after the wet sanding.
my thoughts exactly. always buff in the compound after sanding and then clear coat after if u prefer as a protective layer
the clear spray has UV blockers. It's like a clear coat.
are the plugs for fill and drain the same size as transmission plug?
They take different size crush washers - 20mm for the diff plugs and 18mm for the transmission. They should always be replaced.
Honda calls for 3.5 quarts for drain and refill capacity for transmission.
when you just drain and top off it can vary. You should still check the fluid per the manual when you fill it back up. Knowing the 3.5 is useful. Thank you!
LOVED YOUR VIDEO, it’s amazing and super in depth, and i also used this for my 2008 crv For you to get more views, i recommend u change your title to a more general name like “headlight restoration for all cars” instead of only to the crv because that limits the amount of searches people will look for
I think I am going to go that Juan! Thank you.
