Rich plssed on his own bed and now has to lie on it. I don’t feel bad for him at all. Except maybe his kids. Boogie2988 has a pretty accurate theory. Rich started YT waaay back. YT and the tech/gaming channels exploded each and every year. He too grew along with everyone else. Since Rich barely knows anything about tech, he got left in the dust with growing channels like LinusTechTips, Spawnwave, JayzTwoCents, MKBHD, etc. Then he did a spew of drama content and it got him much more views. He slowly but surely became a drama channel. Well, you give criticism, you’ll get criticism. But he doesn’t take criticism too well. Hence he gets high on live streams and probably when the cameras not on either. Add his divorce and the sickness of his daughter. And the final straw was his editor leaving and he got flack for that entire drama, he just lost it. I think he’s always been a dirtbag. It’s just been amplified within the last few years. I can say all this because I was once a fan way back then. So I’m not just new to him and started jumping on the hate wagon. I don’t see him getting any better.

Shipment to all italy was 50 thousand copies. If they found them all the price is going way down.

This company also is the same one that distributed Michigan Report from Hell. Who knows maybe they might discover a lost shipment of that one too.

I took the risk and ordered the sealed UK version of Rule of Rose and Legend of Sayuki (Heavenly Guardian in the US) two weeks ago from a Italian seller on eBay. Those two games were bundled in together so it was a bit cheaper. I received them today and so far I can say the Rule of Rose game is genuine. The plastic cover has the Y folds in each corner, however it does have a clear seal strip without the ps2 logo. But as someone mentioned, some factories in Europe stopped printing the ps2 logo on the seal to cut costs etc. The copy of Legend of Sayuki has the ps2 logo on the seal strip. As of right now I do not plan to open those games. I don't want to doubt too much but if the Rule of Rose game is really genuine, it's a gem that I want to keep sealed in good condition. I have also been looking this up and it seems those sealed copies of Rule of Rose (and many other sealed 505 Games- games too) were discovered in a warehouse(s) somewhere in Europe, most likely in Italy. I guess 505 Games parent company Digital Bros was emptying some of their warehouses and found boxes full of these forgotten games. I doubt those were stolen but most likely sold to smaller game re-sellers who started selling them on eBay. Also note that Digital Bros is based in Italy. I think it's awesome that those sealed UK versions were found. Rule of Rose is a collectors item. I saw a price drop on Price Charting but I believe this game continues to be a rare and expensive PS2 game. It would only make the games price go down a lot if they found thousands of copies. Who knows maybe they found the whole shipment that was meant to ship to UK or at least big part of it. Hundreds of copes have already been sold on eBay.

I can’t believe I was able to find a copy at a local game stop years ago. For like $10 too! It was shortly afterwards I learned that it was becoming a rare game / cult classic. Got it because I like silent hill.

From what i remember, It got banned just before release, like within the week or 2 even and i know that VERY few shipments were already available as they would trickle in to some of the game shops but how many copies of the UK version are actually made? i have no idea, probably 5-10k specifically for the UK market just like armored core last raven (again UK specific version). and this was at a time where people didnt care and wanted the new consoles. I believe this is genuine news, its as if the stock just wound up somewhere as clearance as they cant do anything with it if it cant be sold in the country pretty much, its only now someone got around to it. There is some bull online about only telling if a game is real or not if it has a genuine PS2 seal too, well at this time the PS2 cases were cheapened for primary 3rd party releases, (no memory card slot, plastic was very flexible and not firm) and whilst not always the clear seal was more likely to be on these or it would be sealed with no tab to pull, whatever way you put it, late 2005 and onwards they "cheapened" the manufacturing of PS2 releases so when it comes to later games, this cant tell you much tbh, i dunno if it was a pal exclusive cost cutting measure either. As for the rest, Even if someone was somehow faking this, thats too much effort for a couple of quid, when a game reaches just £100 you are in a selective market for old games, people with understanding, if i got a copy of this, it will still be £300 give or take 5 to 10 years down the line. its not gonna make any money put it that way. Fun fact you might want to know too, many but not all Switch physical UK releases are often manufactured to 5-10k as the rest is carried by online sales or other platforms, so there are less copies of certain b tier games out there yet they hang around for longer.

sure they are real and not reprints / fakes? i wonder... not saying it's absolutely impossible they are real.. since yeah it was banned in some countries... but it'd be really mean if it was a scam.

Unless they found thousands of copies, I do not see the price staying down very long. Once these copies dry up, it will go back to being ludicrously priced.

The price is even worse if you're like me and from the UK. £700 converted to US dollar is $900 and if you're in the EU, €800 is a little over $1000. So we're actually paying more, just for being in a different country. Make it make sense.
