Man, this goes to show that if Gohan had that pure focus and heart of a warrior during the Buu Saga, he'd have been the one to defeat Buu. Honestly, it's what most of us were hoping would have happened. His Mystic form is stronger and way more efficient than SSJ3. Even at the end of the saga, I think he was still the strongest.

Turning the ship with an anchor is an actual tactic that can be done, it's called club hauling. It's not a made up thing, Barbossa obviously knows about this, but would not have expected a novice crew to preform it, it's why it took him by surprise. It's not done very often because it puts a tremendous amount of strain on the ship, and it has a good chance to snap the anchor rope.

For those who are unsure how Goku could logically be stronger than Gohan by the time Kid Buu arrives let me ask you this: Why dont you think Kid Buu is stronger than Buuhan? Due to multiplier buffs? What if I told you the purity of Kid’s buu’s evil and the magic that created him is more valuable to his essence than stacking multipliers are. Remember when Kid Buu absorbed the Kais? He gradually got weaker with each absorption. Magic does not operate in the same ways as training or even science. Kid Buu is a magical being made up of evil essence, at his purest evil form he is his strongest. Lets just stop there for now.
