I've heard many, many, many covers, arrangements and so on. And I always loved the adaptations, the, as it were "correctness" and feel. But You went a step forward, you actually *added* to the song and actually your harmonies managed to *elevate* the song. This is goddamn amazing. I salute You!

do you mean higher compared to the original? ☺ that might very well be (for many of the covers), because my voice tends to be higher than the male singers and I need to "tailor" the songs to my voice. for the guitar being lower, unfortunately I only own a cheap mic that I put on a chair close to my face (on the right of the video), so it mostly gets the voice and very little of the acoustic. that might be why haha

She's a great singer, but in my opinion as a musician. You can't do this justice on acoustic. It's a Björk song on acoustic. I just hate them all even when it's well done. also. She's a well trained soprano singer and a great singer, but the key doesn't fit het voice. If she had a more a vocal weight to her voice. I wouldn't mind it. I give like to her as singer, but I think it's poorly transcribed to the guitar that's something I dislike so I give this a shrödinger's like. Darn you woman.
Hahah I feel like I've confused you with my covers, I am only a self-taught singer (not at all soprano) and self-taught guitar player (I only know the basics), never said I was a professional artist 😊 everything you hear is just an interpretation and it's just a little hobby of mine. You don't have to like my covers, I'm sure there are plenty of very well played covers from others on RUclips you can listen to. Thanks for coming by on my channel anyway I guess 😁
@@Pollyalba You mightn't be a professional, but I only give unless I think the person is talented and can learn from my advice. I have a background in composing and I'm a vocalist. If you only know the basics, then you're off to a good start at least. You have good music ear, but you can work on it to make it better. I suggest do some ear training the chords and notes on a piano to have a good music ear. When you can hear the chords in music and tuning, then you're golden. If it's starting out for you, then you have talent. You're just rough around the edges so to speak, but the best of luck to you.
@@Skoopyghost I appreciate your advice and I see you that you mean it in a good way, so thank you! I can try with the training, I only don't have much time for music in my daily life, I don't even properly warm up the voice before the covers since they are very spontaneous (whenever I can find the time for them 🤭), and I know that singers do it daily haha So it might be that my voice and music won't change much, since life could get even busier soon, you might want to cover your professional ears if I post anything else on here 😁
