Tbh i thought it was mid i didnt think its that bad, but i dont think its that good either.

I didn’t care for this at all unfortunately. I liked the coconut pirates and the farmer character and the animation was good. That’s about it.

I was sadly very disappointed by this film. Everything that I loved about the first film felt absent, the new characters were forgettable and even the story felt lacking to me. I just couldn’t get on board for the journey beyond the reef this time. Great review 👍

I think the experience might vary for some who might not be as familiar with the musical or original novel, as I've seen some people discounting it for various reasons. For me, this was a complete blast, even with a few nitpicks here and there. I love the fact that even people who don't like musicals were able to appreciate and enjoy this. Just found your channel randomly. I review movies as well on my channel but, I enjoy the chill vibe you got going on. Liam plays so many of the same roles. It definitely was a slower film.

I loved the performances and the direction that Todd Phillips and Joaquin Pheonix decided to go with the character of Arthur with having him face the consequences of his actions and battle with his identity through them. The challenges placed on Arthur both felt subversive and yet cohesive with where we last saw him in 2019’s Joker. However, the lame musical sequences, thin story, and off-putting ending bog this movie down tremendously! Still, I have not stopped thinking about since I left the theatre, and that is worth something in my opinion. Great review!

Not to mention the Umineko Visual Novel and Manga -we don't talk about the anime- as well. Peak Fiction. 69/10 story.

Hey, man - I actually totally agree with your assessment of this film. I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives In The House is much more scary (imo) and masterful - Blackcoats Daughter as well, for that matter. I came across an interview w/ Oz saying he was trying to make this film more accessible. Well, he certainly did that - $22.6M weekend. I was a little disappointed with this one, but good on him for getting people to the theater. To me - this was his version of camp, but he is likely the very best writer/director working in horror today

I have enjoyed this franchise in the past, but in this one it felt like they were more interested in doing a bunch of minion shorts and threw in a thin storyline for Gru to make it a feature length movie. I didn’t hate it, but I instantly forgot about it. Kids will love though, and I guess thats what matters. Great review!
