Caring for Her: State of Black Women & Girls Mental Health in Chicago
Love this video! I myself have battled this question as a mental health professional and have seen many others in the fields mentioned battle this too. Thank you for bringing light to this sensitive topic!
Thank you for watching and I'm glad this resonated with you😃
My mother told me "work don't die."
Very helpful.
Im currently in STD FMLA for mental health. This is a confirmation. Thank you.
Very informative. Thank you ❤️
💯💯💯
Why do you have to be racist and only try to discuss a general condition as something specific? She needs a man! Tell her to settle for a good one, and not hold out for a fantasy. And get out of the hood, that is a toxic culture.
Warn young ladies to be different from most. Marry by 26 for the health of the children. Lose weight, stop glorifying baby mama culture and work with Mothernature.
⭕ Supplements: Magnesium glycinate, iodine, amino acids, *methylene blue Recovery: Inclined Sleep Therapy is free & an ancient practice CPAP Exercises: Rebounder, kettlebell, & gymnastic rings Food: Poultry, onions, & almond butter, replace unhealthy calories Dentist gum cleaning TENS for soreness & vagus nerve
An incredible celebration of wellness and acknowledgement of the Black women who are committed to our healing and wholeness. I am humbled to serve on the board and support the work of Sista Afya. ❤
Hi Sister Afya, I saw the videos on your channel. Your video content is excellent. To grow & increase the view of your channel you need to optimize your videos. SEO Score is very low. The title, Description, and Tags are not SEO-friendly. Videos are not shared on Social Media platforms and many other problems are found on your RUclips Channel. If your channel is optimized a little and if the videos are SEO friendly then your channel will rank very fast and your channel will grow. So immediately need SEO for your Videos & RUclips channel. Do you want to improve those problems and grow your RUclips Channel?
How do people donate to your organization??
this is so true about bw educators
I worked for a company as a Scientist for 31yrs. An incompetent "Karen" with a PhD couldn't keep up and considered me to be a major threat. She convinced 3 other Black women to target, spy on, and bully me. One of them was promoted to a supervisor role, that was created out of nowhere, to empower her to get personal and confidential information from me. They really wanted to fire me, but I resigned after putting up with this crap for 5 yrs. Before they turned on me, all 3 of these skin-folk had situations where they were about to be fired and came to me for help. I was able to help them keep their job, because I had some good relationships with senior managers before they retired. I wished I hadn't been so nice. I feel sorry for these skin-folk. Karma is a bit¢h😮

Amazing first episode. I have experienced many diffferent reasons to this relatable topic, however the pandemic opened me up to virtual spaces for community support such as Sista Afya. Personal healing has mended parts of the loneliness I have dealt with for a very long time. Thank you for creating a well intentional safe space!! Its giving me hope and assuring me that I dersve community as I journey life.💕💕🥰😊
Bless you all and the work that you're doing!
I really liked this ! Thank You !!
Glad it was helpful!
I've been fighting depression for a long time now and a lot of these warning signs stood out, I was feeling better but now I feel myself going back to where I was, thanks for the helpful advice and tips with how to deal with this
Camesha, I am so touched by the testimonials of everyone and the impact you have on individuals lives. But I wouldn't expect anything less because I know who you are and what you represent. I agree that Black Mental Wellness Weekend should be in other states because there is definitely a need. I will definitely market in the Charleston, SC area. I could not be more proud of you than I am at this time. You are truly demonstrating "What God has for you is for you." Continue to give people hope and resources. People's lives are being changed forever because of your vision and mission of Sista Afya. Keep doing what you are doing.
Amen. Amen.
