The Who - New Song (Pete Version)
Always been a die-hard Who fan. Have always loved Roger but generally prefer Pete’s voice. Have imagined what Who songs might sound like with c.1970-2000 Pete on vocals. Am attempting to realize this using LALAL.AI and Vegas.
Sources:
1. Instruments: The Who, Who Are You (1978)
2. Vocals: Pete Townshend (c. 1977)

I'm not sure Roger knows his tambourines aren't plugged in.
Legends
I like these Pete versions. It's like new bonus tracks. The others are great, too.
Houston 75? Pontiac Silverdome was also filmed on this tour, as other stops were, filmed by their own crew. Videotape unfortunately, at least the stuff thats available so far.
I love Sparks. Watch them play it at Woodstock in 1969. Pete was obviously inspired by the great guitar players at that festival, because I think that’s the best he’s ever played guitar (at Woodstock).
Excellent project. I'm in.
Without Daltrey on tamborine this performance would have gone unnoticed.
I saw the Who on this tour in 1975.I saw them on December 15th, 1975 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. It was the greatest concert that I ever seen. They finished with Won't Get Fooled Again with an incredible light show! I was so glad that I had a chance to see the original band before Keith died. Lo ng live The Who!!!
Pete Townshend Guitar God!
First time I've seen instant replay for a rock concert
Check out the whole Houston 75 show. The latest in 70s gimmicks.
The best Lead Rhythm guitar player ever Pete Townshend
This is great but Woodstock is the best Sparks.
The greatest ever
That case can be made. Most will always "default' to The Beatles, The Stones, and Zep, mostly in that order. Personally, I prefer The Who to the Beatles, and I think they are at least the equal of the other two. At that level, it's hard to separate them.
Never have 4 men commanded a stage before like the who and , I suspect, never will again. The power, the tunes, the playing and that feeling of never knowing where it’s going next. God bless the orrible OO
This is why The 'Oo are the guvnors!
😮
Zeppelin, Floyd, the Stones or any other band never even came close to what is going on here, none of them.
They are all great in their own way, the word I have is sonic. Rhythm and vibration and chords with lead drums and bass , so unique
Pete playing the Les Paul after years of the incredible power chords from the SG. Just slightly diferent, but still absolutely mind blowing!
was at this. Excellence in houston 1975 the first concert at our newest venue the summit
Ahead of their time..
Just absolutely fucking SPECTACULAR ❤🥁🎸 Pure Rock n Roll on display in all its Glory.
One of my all time favorite Who "songs". Here is Sparks set to video of the wild brush lands in South Texas, enjoy! ruclips.net/video/qrXBfEj1UX0/видео.htmlsi=dmB_ouYeEl9Zi2PQ
My God Almighty...
Where is my boy John. Rip.
Great! This is the kind of fan mix I like. A different take on the familiar.
The Greatest fucking BAND that EVER existed.... fucking.......PERIOD...BABY !!!!!
Second. Still listening in 2031.
Who is Pete? I’ve got it all down to a tee.
Hola
Can anyone drum like Moon today? Don't think so.
loved when he changed to a Les Paul from his sg special
Rarly seen...right?
0:24 Keith and Pete
Purple Haze
The bext 4 piece to come out of Englamd with exception of The Beatles ~
I saw this band maybe a dozen times Happy Jack thru Who Are You eras spanning years. They never, ever were anything but the BEST live band ever.
🐂The OX IS 🐐 The GOAT
The Summit opened Nov. 1, 1975. The Who played there Nov. 20, 1975, and this was the first date in NA of the tour.
BRAVO!
nice Foxy feel here
che forza , gli Who !!!!!!!!
The zenith.
Showing Daltry with the tambourines but ignoring the Ox, moron behind the camera
4:07 Entwistle plays THE BIG NOTE.
I came for Keith Moon. Seriously, geetar and Daltrey slapping tambourines?
Listen to the Woodstock version of sparks...
KILLA
As far as trios go GOAT🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
A rock god moment .
How on earth could they focus on Daltrey playing the tambourines when Keith Moon is wailing away, 2 feet behind him?
