The boxing adds a lot of strength which is important for your drivetrain to avoid warping or bending, we mainly use it at parts where there is a connection to a part above such as a motor stack or anywhere there's going to be more pressure against a part. It does add weight though so not overboxing is a good thing to keep in mind, for us we are willing to sacrifice adding a few screws worth of weight to have our bots last longer (I recommend watching the Ryan Liao build masterclass on boxing)

When you go to move the c-channel make the move tool is selecting the full component and not only the body

for some of the parts you may have to break links for the specific part or edit the existing appearance rather than adding a new one (I'll cover it in part 3 more)

For a lot of our metal pieces we find it easiest to edit the color of the existing appearance to get the look we want. For gears or other linked parts you will have to break the link in order to do this

We will also go over this more in part 3 of the series along with some other ways to make designs look nicer

blue motor (600rpm) is connected to a 36t gear that drives the 60t gear with the wheel on it (360rpm)

It was impossible to cut out. I now know to turn off notification sounds. 😂

Its more relevant when using joints. You can move the joint around then revert back to the original position. For VEX stuff you usually want to hit capture whenever that shows up.
