Tiny Los Angeles Studio Apartment Tour and How Much I Pay for Rent
I've lived in this tiny studio apartment in Tarzana, CA, located in the San Fernando Valley part of Los Angeles, for four years. It allowed me to save some money while still living alone, I'm not a fan of having roommates. But after turning 30 last year, I just wanted more, like a door to my bedroom. I pay just over $1100 a month for rent which is a steal for LA.

Cute set up! Nothing wrong with living in a studio apartment passed the age of 31. I’m older than that & live in a studio apartment & I love it!
Best of luck with your new place. Please make some videos of that as well. Thank you, enjoyed your tour.
Well i see this was a year ago, but it popped up for me dec. 21...i lovvvvvved it! It seemed large to me! I especially liked the bar counter...i read u moved since....i was hoping to find out about the dryer.. You had a great set up i think. I didn't see anywhere if u made a video of ur next place? Ok well best to u ✌
i would have put a daybed from ikea insted of the bed..
can you do a video on using that washer/dryer
Hey, I've since moved and I don't use them anymore. There are other videos on RUclips though. I sold the dryer and still have the washer. I might pull it out one day and make a tutorial.
You spend wayyy too much time In the damn closet
I love small apartments. They are much more interesting to watch. There is a bigger challenge to organize them, more creativity to arrange them beautifully, and there is much more wormth to live in them. 😃👍Nice apartment you have, with a pleasant atmosphere. Congratulations for your birthday and have a good health. We have hard days due to Corona Epidemic all over the world. I just have one problem 😃. I noticed you keep your handbag near the door entrance and I think it is not safe to put it there as you probably keep all your important things in that bag. I have a friend that did the same, kept her handbag near the door entrance and one day she forgot to lock the door, she left it open, someone came from outside, opened the door and stole her hand bag. So it is just my suggestion. Best Wishes🌷 Efrat. Israel
Greetings from South Florida!
Hello I live in ft.lauderdale I want to move to la
Closet in bathroom is great when you get dressed in the morning or ready for bed .
you should just have a sofa bead & remove the couch to save more room. i am a male and i know better.
I will never ever get piling shoes so very ugly by your front door. A huge mess is first thing you see. If your floors can't take you walking from your bedroom or closet then there is something very wrong with your floors. A ridulous mess for no good reason.
WTH thats all u can spew! U mommy didnt teach u the "golden rule" obviously. .."if u cant say anything nice......dont say it at all"
@@rcastle8993 "The Golden rule in life is; treat other people the way you would like to be treated, also be kind and stay HUMBLE 🙏🏻
Cute apartment. You need the Sink Topper. It’s the best thing ever for small bathroom with no counter space. I got mine on Amazon and I use it everyday
How is it living alone? Lol Im going to getting my studio apartment soo.
Your studio reminds me a lot of my current one! I have a portable washer too. I plan on using my cube organizer as an entryway table
Was the Tarzana studio apartment rent controlled? Also, did you have off street parking?
I'm sorry I guess I missed it. How much does it cost?
No worries, it's in the description. $1100
@@honeycomb629 my bad! Thank you
wow, outrageous cost! Here that would be less than $700. And we think THAT is high rent! Your apartment looks nice .
and this doesn't even count as actual LA living. this is basically another country to those of us in like the who area
Although U moved from ur nice studio I would like 2 know where did U purchase ur portable washer & dryer?😀
She got it at Wal-Mart.com!!
@@Chutney1luv Thk U!😀
I’m seeing another apartment studio similar to yours if you took the couch and put it on the opposite side in front of the bed facing the counter then putting in a small long table with a lamp Books and accessories it would look nice just try it
Where did you get the sticker that you put in your bathroom?
I don't remember but if I had to guess I think I got it from Michael's.
Love small spaces. You did a great job!
Hey there ! I’m moving to la and interested in a studio can you please give me the information on this apartments
You can go to a site called apartments.com
Loveeee it. Live in Noho and wanna get a cheap place on my own :(
I lived in Glendale for 5 years in the craziest studio - the kitchen was 1/3 of the space of the whole apartment! I used to have my desk/office in the kitchen and then my bed in the main area. The way the A/C unit was placed made it so you could only put your bed in one place and still get the cold air. Years later, I still try and figure out how I could have organized my furniture/layout better than I did and I still can't figure it out! LOL.
I'm on the same boat. I'm in a small studio in Inglewood, it's a bachelor studio so no kitchen. the closet space sticks out and there's a pretty useless wall next to my entry door so it's a little limiting in terms of where I can place my bed.
I downsized with children grown. I love small spaces. Studios are cool. Besides we can only be in one room at a time...so love studios. I have a one bedroom..where I live hardly any studios. 😪 I love your studio. Great painting..
Cute place..but what’s wrong in living in a studio after 30 ? Curious to know..I m turning very soon and moving in a studio..
Hi, nothing wrong with it at all. Just a personal goal I set for myself.
Hi, I think that's a cute space; can I now how much is the rent per month for an apartment studio like yours? I'm moving to Los Angeles in 2021.
Hi, I paid $1100/ month.
@@honeycomb629 Good to know it, thanks
Here in NYC this apartment would have easily cost $2000...I would never have the space for a full sofa and queen size bed
So ! Move to LA

They made a poor design of that closet in the bathroom they could of made it like a walk in closet coming in from the hall way next to the bathroom door I dont like that at all I personally have never seen a closet in the bathroom just weird .
I love the studio much love from kenya
Love your little place thanks for sharingbut
I love the way you decorated! It's a small space but the decorations make it look bigger!
Just subbed from SA,I'm a new youtuber keep it up dear, lovely 🥰
Nice deal, but your title is a little misleading...this is the valley, not LA which is why your rent is cheaper.
The Valley is Los Angeles.
The valley is not LA. I used to live in Hollywood and go to college in the valley, Northridge. Not the same.

@@02semira07 The valley is part of the city of Los Angeles. Northridge is LA. There's a lot more to LA than Hollywood and the usual places people think of
There are districts that are part of city of LA within SFV.
I would never with the closet in the bathroom. ☠️
I used to live in a $700000 house and my parents closet was accessed by the ensuite.. I think its a pretty normal thing
I love studio apartments! Cute space!
Is that a portable dryer??? I never heard of that! Can you put a link? I neverheard of a portable washer either! Where have I been??????
Yes, this one is about half the size of a standard dryer and plugs into a regular outlet. It dries just as good. www.walmart.com/ip/Magic-Chef-2-6-cu-ft-Compact-Electric-Dryer-White/29559158
I'm not a huge fan of the washing machine that I had but it got the job done.
🖤💜🖤💜
This is a cute studio!
Very nice.♥️
Props to you for sticking it out in LA! I lived there for ten years and left two weeks after finishing grad school. I just couldn’t take it anymore. The cost of living and the traffic was awful! We moved to New Mexico and I’m still shocked at how much I get for my money! But I have to say, experiencing a tiny studio in LA made me so grateful for what I have now!! If you picked up my current house and moved it to, say Burbank or whatever, rent would easily be $3500 or so per month.
Every once and a while I think about moving away because of the cost of living but I grew up here so it's hard to think about actually leaving. My job and friends are here.
I couldn’t imagine!! I didn’t grow up in LA so maybe that’s why it wasn’t that hard for me to leave. I lived there for ten years but mostly grew up in New Orleans! I get homesick for New Orleans fairly often 😩
These kind of comments make me laugh. I worked in the Hotel business and lived in several parts of the country. & it ALL depends on where one is or at in life and preference. To compare living in NM to LA (I have never lived in NM, I do have friends & Fam there.....& have been there many times) is like comparing a Hyundai to a BMW. Both great cars, AND "affordable" but 2 totally different rides. I have lived in Cities, burbs and somewhat rural areas also studios and big houses. Yes the cost of living is disproportionate, but it is not hard to see the differences and benefits are or aren't. Hey, you love saving money.......cool, but don't dismiss the value of that dollar in other aspects. I live in the Desert, I love it (after 10yrs straight, I'm getting ready to move again)....but it ain't LA, SF or even Pittsburgh.
So how much will a one bedroom cost you? (I love the idea of saving money) I hope your new place comes with a washer/dryer! All the best!
In the neighborhood I'm moving from, you can find a decent place for $1600. If you want a newer luxury building, around $2000.
