@@RCDougNSN There was one other question I forgot to ask. Did you CG your plane using the CG jig that came with the kit, if so did it work for you? That is my next step. But I also use a EZ Balancer to check the CG. Will try the jig next but never had good luck with those CG jig. Thanks for responding back.

Haha, glad you enjoyed it! Yes, the 0.46 OS AX really brings the plane to life, but it was designed around a 0.45 size motor back in 1983. It's amazing how much fun you can have with the right engine. The old rule of 'What can I get away with?' definitely still applies. Thanks for the nostalgic comment and for watching!

Hi, yeah an 80 is a good size for this plane have seen another with that setup which works well. This video shows a bit of the component placements ruclips.net/video/WXXRz4RBDEE/видео.htmlsi=WOLNqD1_g3UTKGJA . I believe it is flown at the factory CG with minimal fine tuning. Does seem to work best with the wing fences.

I've witnessed multiple flights of these planes (two different air frames) and haven't encountered any issues with gear retraction or deployment. Additionally, I've seen them handle heavy landings on grass without any problems.

From my experience Bae hawks in general are known for tip stalls on landing, it’s the design of the wing .if you get to slow and flare to much she will bite don’t let the nose get to high… keep nice steady speed and go easy on elevator when landing .. a gyro will also assist you when landing if installed ..
