Could have been such a great film if the bean counters didn't get involved and decide to make it vehicle film for Carrey. The schtick was over the top, glad they made cuts . The opening ass scene would have set the tone for the whole film if Carrey had the final say.

Very interesting scene, and perhaps one of the most disturbing ones. It really highlights how little they actually care about Truman, treating him like a prop rather than a person. Then again I can see why it was deleted-it doesn't fit well into the narrative arc of Truman's journey of discovering the truth.

At the end there, his bf tries to humanize the point of view toward him. But the director ignores his request to humanize him, and returns to ignoring the life he is manipulating.

Why the hell is "Hannah" in a neck-brace? Truman didn't even DO anything extensive to her to have warranted that.

In confused when this would take place in the movie. Would this scene have taken place before truman figures out what is goin on or after. His wife has the neck brace on so im guessing it is after when truman grabbed her and thats why she's leaving. But isnt truman gone like the same day that happens how would they have had time for this?

I can see why this was cut. It doesn't add much and it makes the characters even more unlikable.
