Aquitaine Podcast Episode 2: Silent Gambit Paul Morphy Against the World
He even and you missed his quick bit part in "Them". And he narrated some of the episodes on the History and A&E channels.
Totally. This wasn't meant to be comprehensive but rather just a short tribute and a book promo.Check out his Sea Hunt appearances if you get a chance.
Right... right... exactly... yes.. yeah.. Ok,..I dislike this AI created videos so much - and it added elevator music too
Don't forget to hit suscribe.
We used to have a drinking game where you had to take a shot every time you saw a Jewish “Indian” on television. One episode of Daniel Boone where he and Mingo went to Florida and met a tribe of Seminole nearly gave us all alcohol poisoning. Leonard Nimoy had a whole minyan’s worth of Jewish Indians with him, not including Ed Ames.
He was a great actor. Another 1 those guys who could play a good as well as bad guy
I always saw a similarity between gunsmoke and star trek (doc/festus vs doc/spock, Dillon/Kirk married to their job. etc.)
I agree. In another book, a dramatzation of the making of the pilot, I have Gene and Sam Peeples sitting around spitballing ideas. Both were western writers looking at sci-fi and the thought comes up "What if Matt, Miss Kitty, Doc, and Chester were the crew of a ship? Would it be just as good?" Peeples wondered. "Better?" Gene contemplated, looking back up at the closest planet to Earth, Venus.
Shatner, Kelly AND Nemoy were all in westerns.Remember Kelly also did an OK corral episode in star trek
Cool little walk down prog memory lane.
It is probably less a matter of what roles he was drawn to than what roles were offered to him.
There's a pretty good bio of Kelley that describes how he was a typical working actor of that era. A camplex network of relationships would bring opportunities his way.
With all due respect, I find it a bit humorous that not just Deforest Kelley, but some specific professional side of Deforest Kelly is found to be worth someone's time. It's not far from studying the favorite beverages of Tony Dow or exploring the past furniture of Richard Chamberlain. Still, look at me, I'm writing a comment under this video. So, there's that. And just to add something to the effort of creating and uploading this video, I remember seeing Kelley in the pretty good movie _Gunfight at the OK Corral_ . I remember mumbling to myself, "Hey, there's Dr. McCoy."
I have taken your comment seriously and am replying in kind. This video is part of promotional material for a series of books about Star Trek, the cultural phenomenon. One book, "Before the Trek" is an exploration of the work of cast members of Star Trek in the "Golden Age of Television." The purpose is to study how this group of people became the actors capable of bringing such a project to life, one that has been so influential and long-lasting. This research also yielded two historical fiction novels, "To the Stars" and "Edge of Forever," which dramatize the creation of the pilot and first season of the show for much the same purpose. The videos related to the books also serve several purposes. First to provide entertainment for people who enjoy looking at Star Trek-related videos and second to use new types of video editing software. In this case, Descript. Lastly, the hope is that someone who enjoys it will click to check out the books. Check out the Aquitaine Podcast for discussions of other books available on other topics, Ancient Rome, Apple Music, various historical fiction, and Macintosh JavaScript programming.
Wow! she looked 10 times better than on TOS.
Love the tex-mex music in the beginning.

What's the charge? Twisting without a permit!
Grace pursued a singing career in Chicago at age 18 under the name Lee Whitney. She was the inspiration for the Chicken of the Sea mermaid.
Wow! Wow! Wow! I could watch her twist all night. In fact, I think I will...
Music is to loud
Thanks for the feedback. I am working on a new, longer version and will check the music levels.
Meaningless; take no hope in it.

Kookie Finds Twist Relaxing Jive-talking Edward "Kookie" Byrnes of "77 Sunset Strip" grooved into the new Twist craze for the "Penthouse On Skid Row" segment now being filmed. Byrnes and Grace Lee Whitney pair up for the dance caper in the episode. "At first, watching the dance, I didn't think too much of it,"" said Byrnes, an expert gymnast and water sports participant. "But now that I'm doing it, it feels great. Relaxing." www.newspapers.com/article/valley-times-kookie-finds-twist-relaxing/116285802/

Yeoman Rand in the first season of Star Trek. Then Gene raped and fired her.
Eerie video. Lots of periods skipped. Almost like skynet made this video. Why do people find this place so fascinating though? Sure, the 707 is cool and all but its not a UFO. Even if rumors are that the M&M detaches and is recovered in the ocean by the Navy.
I was so in love with Edd Byrnes when I was 12 years old.
Full with the Twist! An iconic series, which showed luxurious Cadillacs, dazzling blondes and successful detectives with women.
❤️❤️❤️
Cookie ain't no dancer
When you were watching programing, not being programed, the globalist took over tv around 1968, they canceled our fun family promoting shows, so by 1970, you were being programed in anti-family, anti-American, gay promoting, single women with children, turning women into men, i short the destruction of America and the family unit, and it'sfar worse today !! Wake the hell up America !!
Shake that money maker..
She was born in Ann Arbor, MI! Go Blue!
Entertainment dance 💃
Marlon Brando should have WON every academy award he was nominated for & so should have Montgomery Clift‼️🫅♥️🤴♥️RIP You are both sadly missed‼️🙏💔🙏💔
I never saw the Twist, done this way...very good...very cool!
Edd Byrnes never took his eyes off her hips. Can’t say I blame him.
Kookie cannot dance
Dance hall girls predecessors to escorts. Let's twist!
I was enjoying this until I saw it was an AMAZON ad. No thanks.
I respect that.
White people... dancing...? NO-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the era when dance began to die.
77 Sunset Strip and the competition, Surfside 6, were favorites when I was a kid.
Those two shows didn't compete with each other. They were both produced by the same studio (Warner Bros.) and aired on the same network (ABC).
@@scotpens I should have been more clear. I meant that they were competitors on a creative basis, and not an advertising basis.
Gerald Lloyd Kookson, III, LEND ME YOUR COMB!
