Juan Megna is an accomplished Argentine percussionist, drummer, bandleader, and educator. Originally from Argentina, he spent 12 years in São Paulo, Brazil, where he launched his professional career. During his time in Brazil, Juan had the opportunity to perform and record with some of the country's most respected musicians, including Rubinho Antunes, Vinicius Dorin, Jarbas Barbosa, Felipe Silveira, Bruno Mangueira, Yantó, and Martina Marana, among many others.

In 2017, Juan relocated to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, where he quickly became an active part of the vibrant local jazz scene. He has since collaborated with prominent jazz artists such as Wade Beach and Tedd Baker, further establishing his reputation as a versatile and dynamic percussionist. Juan is also the bandleader of The Juan Megna Group, an ensemble that blends his deep roots in Argentine, Afro-Brazilian, and jazz traditions.
