Confederate day which coincides with the birth of General Lee and General Jackson has been a holiday in Virginia for a LONG time before King was even born. So, Lee/Jackson Day was first. The Confederate flags, which have flown on this day for decades, celebrate the lives of two of the greatest men, if not THE greatest men, in history. It was pressure from racist outside Lexington that caused the cowardly city council to ban ALL flags being flown outside city buildings. Lexington has a long history of flying Washington and Lee flags on the lamppost outside city shops when the Generals are playing in town and VMI flags when the Keydets are playing. These were also banned because once again the city council are jellyfish.

Pretty flowers I like the way you did the streets. I used to come to Lexington a lot three four times a year me and my cousin to come down to shop in the antique stores. And eat at the restaurant along Main Street. But after y'all took down the Confederate monuments we no longer come to Lexington.
