    I know this video is old but do you recall where you had the dash recovered? Also, did you have to make a wiring harness and what ECU did you use?

      Hi there. The dash I did through a guy named Chris Willets down in Las Vegas, I think he had a company called Sin City BMW maybe??? As for the wiring I had to make a partial harness to support the EFI yes, and the ECU was from MegaSquirt. Not sure I'd go that path again but at the time there weren't as many good options as there are today. Good luck.

      @@02Grover Great thanks! I’ve been researching everything needed for the conversion, I think I figured it out except for the harness. I looked at doing this a few years ago but couldn’t find much, many more options now. I’ll use something besides megasquirt and I’ll ask that manufacturer for tips. I’m assuming making one isn’t hard, mostly curious if that what everyone else does or if there is another option that I just haven’t found yet. I’m going to rebuild motor and upgrade to distributor less ignition while I’m at it..

    Such a perfect resto-mod, would probably cost a fortune to recreate. Wish I had been looking at the time you sold this. How much did it sell for if you don’t mind me asking?

    Did you delete the brake booster?

    • @02Grover
      @02Grover 7 лет назад

      Hi Ryan. No, there is a tii brake booster still in there, it's nestled underneath the airbox. To make this work the intake manifold that the ITBs are mounted onto had to be modified such that the two faces were parallel to each other (stock they point down a little bit, but this forces the filters/air box directly into the brake booster.) This modification acted to raise the ITBs up just a little bit, providing the clearance over the brake booster, while keeping enough clearance to the underside of the hood. It's a tight fit, but works.

      Bad sound from a BMW engine. Lot of back pressure. Il will be better with a true S14 instead of building an hybrid engine only good for acceleration.
