    I recently purchased (2) older LOR 1602W controllers (Blue Board), (1) LOR 1602WG3 controller w/ Intelligent Dimmer, & (1) CTB16PCG2 controller. I've also purchased LOR Showtime Advanced software along with the "High Speed" USB connector. I'm considering upgrading to LOR Showtime Pro software as I plan on adding Pixels in the future. My question is, can I daisy chain my current controllers together? If I add Pixels in the future, can I daisy chain Pixel controllers with my current controllers or will I have to run a separate network to my Pixel controllers? Thanks

    I am using S5.6.10 on windows 11. First problem I had, was no comm ports found. Fixed that problem, and now my high speed usb485 is running on comm5, (only comm port visible in device manger) with 3 LOR controllers (2xCMB24's and 1 Pixie16), all working as they should be. Now, the problem I have is, I have a earlier usb485 adapter (non high speed), that I want to connect up as second network for a DMX controller (called a aah mega60 dc controller, from Hanson Electronics, Australia). This controller is compatible with LOR. The second 485 adapter will not set up on a comm port. On top of that, I cannot for the life of me, set up a DMX network, even when connecting the DMX board up to the HS adapter, by itself. I have even tried connecting the DMX board at the end of the LOR network, but still can't work out how to configure a DMX . I have tried adding a LOR/ESTA crossover between the last controller (Pixie16) and the DMX board. There is nowhere in network preferences tab in S5 to set a DMX network. Any advice greatly accepted. Oh forgot to mention, the DMX board worked on windows 10, using S4, so did both usb adapters on separate comm ports. Thank You

      To add another Show (meaning a different playlist and schedule), you would just select Show 2, Show 3, etc, in one of the first steps when creating a card, then it's the exact same process as normal. Just make sure your times don't conflict.

      The key is for the dangle ends and the pixel ends to match, or you need an adapter. You can install any of the well known dangles to a Pixie.

    • @LuminousHarmony
      @LuminousHarmony 10 месяцев назад

      If the white cords aren't included, that means you purchased a controller without 'dangles,' signifying you were going to purchase and attach your own (fairly common). Dangles are required in order to connect the pixel lights. The end connector type of the dangle must match the type of the pixel in order to connect.

    So I have a question. I have a CTB16PC Controller that I use. I also have a Intelligent E1.31 RGB 16 Output Controller that is my mega tree that I have been using the both work just fine. I bought a Intelligent Pixie RGB 16 Output Controller so i can run RGB Intelligent RGB Pixels 50 count (like around my porch posts etc). I also have the S5 Pro Version Software from wow lights. I cant figure out how to get my new Pixie controller to work/added to my current sequences (I have bought all my sequences from wow lights). I'm so lost on that to do, I was able to set the box in my office use the high speed usb485 adapter and get the lights to turn on etc. But I cant figure out how to use the controller in my show/sequences that my CTB & Mega tree uses.

    • @LuminousHarmony
      @LuminousHarmony 10 месяцев назад

      You would add Pixie controllers to a preview by adding a "prop" in the preview. Choose the shape of the prop, then define the IDs. Don't just add the Pixie as a controller - more work later. As for working with the Wowlights sequences, we wouldn't be able to assist with their sequences unfortunately, we only know how our own are created.

    • @LuminousHarmony

      In S6, you can still use the Hardware Utility to search for controllers if you would like to, or you can use the Test Lights tab of the Control Panel to confirm controllers are connected and responding.

  • @johnmayer4747
    @johnmayer4747 11 месяцев назад

    Just so I understand this, the HU can check all the controllers on a network for troubleshooting. You cannot program their ID on the network, they must be separate when programming the IDs, correct? Great video on troubleshooting!!

    • @LuminousHarmony
      @LuminousHarmony 11 месяцев назад

      The very first time you set the ID for each controller, you should connect them separately. Then once they all have unique IDs per network, you can connect and search for all at once in the future. If you need to troubleshoot, return to connecting individually.

    Can you help explain how groups are different in S6 from S5. I just downloaded S6 and the groups don't appear the same, all my groups are cross hatched out. In S5 like shown in this video they are grey and you can sequence them as a group. Is there a way to do this in S6? These are for AC lights, so i don't need or want motion effect rows, I just want to turn all colors on or all bushes on with 1 click., but it cross hatch those out, making groups useless. If you are in need of technical support, the best option is the official Light-O-Rama Help Desk. We do not have the ability to offer personal technical support sessions this time of year for non-clients. Thank you for your understanding.

    I uploaded my sequences into the show editor and saved it. Then I set up the show in the schedule editor and saved it. Once I go to the control panel to enable the the schedule, I’m getting a message that says “error(8002) Open of serial port has failed” Then when I go to the verifier, it’s saying “sequence file does not exist” Please can you help, I’m not sure where to go from here?

      Hi Richard! Are you trying to make a flat circle or a sphere?

      @@LuminousHarmony A sphere with 2 sets of 50 pixels per sphere

      each sphere has 4 arms so each set of pixels has one fold in it

      So sorry for the delayed response. Make sure you set your max Circuits to 150 if you only have 50 pixels per string.
