Maharashtrian food milta hai kya dekho, especially kolhapuri food. Like proper food, not vada pav n pav bhaji.
Bro maharastra and goa has been the worst food for me so far .. I have visited 19 States so far and these two states has been the below average level.. you can add Gujrat too but their snacks are too level..

No these are not top5 Indian dishes. That masala dosa should be crunchy and flaky not soggy. If the coconut chutney has gone sour then that coconut chutney has gone bad, basically started fermenting. Lal tree ants ki chutney kha kar dekho. It's so nice apki aam ki chutney aur imli , anardan ki chutney fail. Idli is one of the healthiest food on the planet. You get good complex carbohydrates, proteins from the lentils and healthy gut bacteria because of the fermenting process. . Idli should be piping hot, fluffy and it should be submerged in sambar. Yum yum yum. Sab korma shorma fail iske saamne. Kesari wtf is that you should try sheera , try banana sheera or pineapple sheera. Try from restaurant from Mumbai, south indian don't know how to make a good sheera. Muslims in Mumbai make halwa version with Puri, it's just something sweet greasy not comparable to sheera , if possible try sheera distributed during satyanarayan Puja as Prasad that is loaded with dry fruits and desi ghee.
