@@user-br7rx2sz1k You're best chance for performance may be on GOG (Good Old Games) for PC. But yeah, having played OG PS3, emulated 2K, and the PC versions, I'd say they are as close to the same as you can get without that very strange 'FPS tied to curser speed issue'.

@@DaCat650 I did have the GOG version and it has microstutters no matter what i do on some occasions. Rpcs3 however seems to have none since its being emulated. I did play it on core to duo system way back and never saw those issues. Maybe it has to do with how old games have been coded. Anyway, Thanks for reply.

It ran without any issue, and yeah, at a solid 60fps.

r/Roms > Megathread > NoPayStation. I was looking again and was having little bit of trouble. Very rarely do I need to go to the last one to get anything because most of everything is locked.

Tested the links for the US/EU ones and they are locked. Actually it seems like I can't get any links on there to work.

I know Vimms has the disk version and he has also split them into '.dec.iso' and the 'Jail Broken Folder' types. So could try those.

@@DaCat650 vimms is usually where I get most of my roms. the nopaystation route seems complex and shady compared to just grabbing an iso file and slapping it into rpcs3. I could try the other versions to see what happens.

​@@mirroredchaos Sucks that it's just not really available anywhere and I'd put it up in a public Google Drive if I knew how that worked. Could inquire if there will be PSN/digitally formatted versions in either the discussions or the request boards.

It still is unstable, at least for my machine, and I didn't have that unplayable bug anymore with the PSN version. The settings I got pinned fixed everything else but random crashes.

Check Reddit for that particular version. It should be fairly easy as I think it's one of the biggest Roms forums. The 'Megathread' will be what you're looking for.

Yeah, having never seen anything about it other than it has Metal Gear inspired art for the Frames and font. I really liked it.

If you happen to have the game, you're able to 'rip' it off the disc and play it. But look around Reddit's r/R___ and V___ site. I can't disclose the full names for legal reasons in my country.

It looks a lot closer to the PS1 games, and presumably plays like them so I didn't have it in mind. I can always check it out, see how it runs, and compare how the 1st was handled to the 2nd and 3rd.

For legal reasons no one is supposed to say where. But seeing as corporate slime is moving towards changing your ownership of your copy of a game to it's 'License' that allows you to play it, which could be revoked at any time, fuck 'em. Still, best I can do is V is important and r/ was also a good alternative. Good Luck.

Just tried that a few days ago actually. It didn't really seem like my thing but Blackmoon wants to do it. So far, it's just the cloth physics that are messed up/spazzy and bloom FX being extreme.

@@DaCat650 oh interesting I've only ever encountered one crash otherwise the games graphics worked perfectly for. Me when I had my laptop.

Running the game at 60 fps will cause that issue, but any dips will fix it. Not sure if scaling it up to 2K makes the bloom more intense. I messed with the threshold numbers but nothing. It's only noticeable at the character select with the lamp.

We will check it out, and in the meantime we did records chillas art games that look similar too it.

Well... it's an emulator, you can use whatever controller you want. And since it's an emulator, not all games are ran perfectly. There can be things that are not 1:1 with the PS3 but there is potential for games to run and look better. So not only just for the enhanced gameplay, but also to be a visual reference for anyone else using RPCS3, as I also include my settings too.

The last third does get bad with the angles, yeah, but that's the least of the problems at that point in the game.

Yeah, I hate seeing a lot of click-bait videos on emulators without anything meaningful in them, so every game I do videos on will have my settings and reasons why I changed anything. First, Settings > Input > Hotkeys - Menu Toggle (Controller Combo) = Start + Select [So you can bring up the in-game settings] Start PE and hit Start + Select at the same time and look for the listed changes. There will be a lot of things to go through, but the most confusing thing is what type of saving you do for the CRT screen overlay [as a preset along with a core default, and/or a game default].

@@DaCat650 Today I configured all the parameters from the Shaders section, but I wasn't able to find where to configure: Internal Resolution, GPU Rasterizer, CPU Frecuency Scaling, CD Access Method and CD Loading Speed.

From the In-Game menu, go to the 'Core Options'. The last two will be in the 'Core Options' main at the bottom, the first two will be in 'Video' from there, and CPU frequency will be in 'Emulation Hacks'.

Horror for me varies. I can find old horror not scary, but I appreciate it. The time, tech, and practicality of it means a lot, not only to the viewer, but to the people involved as well. New however, how believable it is - is what I look for. I did have this as a kid but I was into Metal Gear and only played it first as an ISO a few years back and watched the movie a couple months ago during a thunderstorm. Thanks for sharing.

Future plays will be in the 'Community' tab with high res pictures. While solo plays will stay more cinematic, I also got some Co-Op stuff in the works too.
