Sailor Moon's clothing style reaches its peak in season 4, there are really interesting outfits in that season, maybe because it takes place during the summer and we don't see school uniforms at all.

I agree with the rounder design in the anime since it also captures the age of the girls better. They're elegant and cool while fighting, but when they're in their normal clothing, you suddenly remember that these are kids.

I had been waiting to watch this one until I beat the game and I think you've done a really great job here! I've never played the original Persona 3 or any other versions of it. So my introduction to it is Reload. It's interesting for me to see how this still kind of felt like a prototype to 4 and 5 in terms of style, gameplay, characterization, and narrative. However, it has its own unique charm that let it stand on its own. Something about that ending is just so fascinating to me that it really took it from a game I enjoyed to one I think about often because of it. I'm honestly considering making my own video just tackling the ending and the complex theming of death this game carries. Nonetheless, great video!

Soupy seems to release music that echo the struggles I’m going through at that moment. Back in 2014, I was just starting college but I was at one of the worst lows in my life. I was dating a woman who was extremely controlling, pushing me to have a kid with her while simultaneously berating me for spending time with my roommates. Devil in My Bloodstream spoke to me on a few different levels. My granddad fought in WW2, came back shell shocked and later developed Alzheimer’s before I got to know him as the brilliant college professor he was before he later devolved to having the mindset of a toddler. Knowing that Alzheimer’s is hereditary, along with the unmanaged depression I was feeling at the time, I didn’t wanna curse a kid with that fate, not to mention curse a kid with a horrible mother as well. I was terrified when she told me she was pregnant, and I felt even worse when she had said she lost the baby, because a part of me felt relieved. “We Don’t Have Each Other” from AW20 came out and I had a listen, and it spoke even more to me. I joined the military in 2018 after flunking out of school where I found out about a tumor in my leg. I was separated for it, and I was kinda lost as to what to do with my life. Job hopped for a couple years. All the while I had a playlist full of TWY and AW20 bc the songs made me feel like I wasn’t near as alone as I was. Up until recently, I still didn’t want to have kids bc of the “devils in my bloodstream”. Therapy, medication, and supportive friends have kinda changed that a bit. I’m still terrified, but more for the world my future kids will grow into adulthood in. Enter “Hum Goes on Forever” and “In Lieu of Flowers”. The right music at the right time.

very well-spoken video. personally, the social links really stick with me because it paralleled my perception of most people in high school/college: sometimes awkward, sometimes weird, sometimes even kind of annoying people. but even those can grow on you just by getting to know them long enough and see them at their lowest and watching them grow from there. i understand first impressions mean a lot though, so i can't hold it against anyone for giving up on some of them halfway through their links. lol.

They started as Bangarang. As in from the movie Hook. Im from the same home town of Lansdale Pa. You do have a lot of history correct. However, where they started is not from the street they claim in Philly. Given the song "Wanted to be brave" says specifically whites road. It is a road that the local pool is located on as well as the red door on the church that is on main st at the local Episcopalian church. Not to mention the train ride that starts at the lansdale train station at main and broad called the R5. Try me. I lived there for 30 years. You really should visit places you about.

an amazing analysis; I love the attention to detail. I also like that you touched on the different art styles. I remember noticing as a little kid and thinking I was tripping. I love the transformations because of the colors and sparkles, but I also love that their outfits change and reflect the time period. is a whole, the show has influenced my style ( bows, sparkles and pleats have forever won my heart )

I like how much you appreciate the animation and color scheme of the show, personally I love how they don’t shy away from the darker tones in terms of coloration. In Crystal, it’s very bright, and it’s hard to set the tone/atmosphere of the scene when it’s bright and “happy”; it makes it look like a mundane magical girl show, when in truth it’s not.

Technically it's rumors but the most famous Sega and Atlus leaker said that a Persona 4 remake is being worked on so it's pretty much confirmed. We're probably going to get it after Persona 6 which is probably a good thing because just like reload and Persona 5 the 4 remake is probably going to have features from Persona 6

Persona 3 Reload is my game of the year so far. Even if it's mostly by default lol. (Only other new game I've really played is Balatro.) I wasn't sure if I'd like the new voice actors but they really grew on me by the end. The voice acted social links made me like the side characters a lot more. With how long we've been asking for a Persona 3 Remake, it's still kinda surreal that it not only exists but is THIS well made and faithful to the original.

I'm new to the Persona series. I just finished Persona 5 Royal after over 100 hours oh my god that was a long game. And now I'm planning to play this game so it's good to know that this is an amazing remake Side note I'm glad the people in the Persona Community know the difference between remakes and remasters

Nothing wrong with releasing videos occasionally. I know the algorithm is unforgiving sometimes, but you do release longform videos which feel like Rowe Review Specials rather than standard episodes since they're triple length. If you want your work to get out, I recommend paying for advertising on youtube to show your Persona 5 video to more people. I agree that it's your best work. You have a real understanding of the Persona series. Also, if you want to revisit Super Mario 64, try SM64 Plus. It makes the game so much better when you can clean sweep the levels. I bet you'd love it, and you could tread new ground while revisiting old ground. Kill two content birds with one stone.

Glad to see someone who also enjoys watching the show. I've watched it before, but I was worried I might not enjoy it as much because of its repetitiveness and episodic format. But that was not the case! I finished 5 seasons without noticing the time passing by! Just goes to show how entertaining the show is, and that comes from a lot of factors that were stitched together perfectly well, including the aesthetics. The backgrounds are usually some of the things we take for granted, but in this case it really helped create a tone and atmosphere fitting for the magical girl genre. The light colors and details did not distract the characters in the foreground, and were used to enhance the experience depending on the mood. It also reflects the general, light tone of the show. There was definitely a clear intention and conscious effort made, just for the backgrounds alone. Overall, the aesthetic is colorful and stardusty, and the people behind it surely know what they were doing. And I haven't even touched on the attacks, transformations, music, and the personalities that have made the characters likeable despite the simple story. It's definitely not an accident that Sailormoon has become one of the most successful and iconic animes ever!

8:07 On closer look, you're definitely right. Since Rei's eyes always looked a bit more angular than the rest I often suspected that not all SM eyes looked the same, so I was right. And since you didn't mention her, I guess Mako's eyes are like a mixture of Usa/Mina's and Ami's. Also, it's a tad odd how her green of her eyes and sailor outfit are a tad darker than expected. Outside of the anime the greens are usually brighter.
