I completed my master's in computer science from a reputed Canadian university & is currently gaining some work-experience to be eligible for the CEC. Also, my company doesn't sponsor me for the PR. I will have 1-year of Canadian experience by May 2025 but the latest CRS score of 547 is scaring me. I have 1-year of foreign experience as well, & assuming if I get 7778 in IELTS, still I'd be around 530, which will still not be enough to get through 547. I don't wanna lose my job or switch from IT to Construction/Healthcare. I'm sad but trying to stay positive

If I have applied for my second year study in Canada does this still create a problem for me?

Came to Canada 2019 and have been a flight instructor from 2022. It's good to see my students are still able to apply for PGWP but kind of head-scratching moment when transport category for Express Entry is no longer a priority. Pilots from what I know tend to have lower CRS scores and one reason is because it takes 1.5-2years to reach the 1560hr working hours (1 year work experience). Trying to stay positive but totally bummed after all that hard work.

Now I am planning to take 3rd year course of HEALTH CARE AIDE, which have lot of job opportunities in the place that I now live. So my question is that, will it be a good move to take the 3rd year course in HEALTH CARE AIDE or should I stick with ACCOUNTING? (in terms of getting PR)

I have been enrolled in a 1 year’s masters program in Organizational Management at Crandall University, Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada for January 2025 intake and already accepted necessary study permit and visa in the month of May 2024. As my Masters Program duration is for 1 year but I have been granted study permit and necessary visa before the declaration of new changes, will it effect in getting open work permit to my spouse? Moreover, in recent changes there is nothing mentioned regarding free education getting of free education of the kids of International student up to 18 year so in such cases whether kids of international students up to their age of 18 will still be eligible to enjoy free education? I will be truly grateful if you kindly share me the actual impacts that we may face due to the recent changes in terms of spousal open work permit (SOWP) and free education of kid up to 18 years. STEAM for IT is not an option anymore, the last time they called IT was in March 2024. IT/Computer Science is saturated and no one is finding jobs nowadays. Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering will give you more chances.

I agree with you in many aspects, but I think the Speaking part is nicer and more comfortable with a person, instead of talking to a computer, so the IELTS wins in that specific part. However, I haven’t taken the CELPIP, but apparently the Listening part is better with CELPIP because it is fully multiple choice question, while in IELTS we need to type. IELTS Reading and IELTS LISTENING are so stressful, btw.
