You're using Infinite Wig B, of course it's gonna be powerful. Ripper Mode is balanced around its short duration.

Didn't Sam have an ability where he could do a bit of trolling and make enemies take more damage
He actually go in to ripper mode while using his charged attacks ( combo) . Sam chan charge the attack even in blase mode with triangle but that is not "ripper mode" is just hax
With ripper Mode i killed Armstrong in a single combo of 45 seconds before qte
perfect example of how bullshit the ranking system is, he got a B rank after absolutely annihialating bladewolf
I hate to be the 🤓 guy but it's because the rank system is determined by Zandatsu usage, combos, and total hits. Basically it ranks on skill and not how quick you are. Because let's be honest, as impressive as this _might_ look, *most* of the work is being done by the overpowered upgrades and items, not the player.
It demands style.

The reason is because he didn't do any Zandatsu, he didn't do any 40 hit combos at most, and he barely hit bladewolf. The game ranks you based on how skillful you are, not how quick the fight went.

Also, I noticed when I was fighting Armstrong final phase in hard mode, blade mode without ripper mode makes the energy run out faster but using the ripper mode it's way slower the energy waste

ripper mode + pincer blades
At first i thought ripper mode was for slowing down time more in blade mode but then i discovered that all the revengenace mastiffs could get absolutely destroyed by pressing l3+r3 once lmao
If you go into ripper mode then *immediately* go into blade mode it will slow down time more noticeably
