Seeds 101 - What to Buy & How to Store Them
Just a heads up that you never pronounce the “s” in “debris”. Plural or singular. Never pronounce it.
🎉🎉🎉CAME OUT PERFECT!! Thank you!!
Easiest way to clean sink is to pour bleach. Then after 5 min wash as normal and you can use a piece of scotchBrite to shine it if you need to but the bleach does a fantastic job.
Omf that would be fantastic
Thanks for sharing I'll give this a try.😊
Nothing about this vid is correct .. baking soda n vinegar neutralize each other due to chemical properties of both… n I must warn u guys it’s not good to pour boiling water down the drains , u can cause melting to the pipes
What is the best time of day to harvest to avoid the tiny bugs?
What about those who don't do sm/insta?
You killed that stainless steel sink it’s full of scratches
I mulched my Strawberries with pine tags I collected. They break down slower and apparently increase the acidity in your soil. The reason why i mulch tho was because slugs don't like rough and spiky surfaces. After adding the mulch and covering my Strawberries with organza bags, I've been getting good harvest for my second year.
Beware of the tiniest of bugs and worms....😶
My granddaughter gave me a bouquet of chamomile. Can I propagate from the leaves or stems or do I need seeds?
How sweet! You would need seeds for them to grow, cuttings can’t be propagated for chamomile
Thanks for the short and information video...
Great way to ruin a $1,000 sink as well as your pipes.
You just scratched the sink. Lemon+salt in the end.
Chef Jacques Pepìn once said that he always uses leeks in his soups
They are such a lovely member of the Allium family that don't have as much of a bite as onion, so I can see why!
Can you try doing clam chowder?
Great suggestion, I haven't made a chowder before but I'm sure I could try!
I’m definitely going to make some this winter!
Hope you enjoy the recipe! :)
This was very cozy. Thank you so much 💞😊
I'm glad you felt it was! You're welcome, enjoy :)
Looks good
Thanks :)
Thank you, i messed up a batch and this helps see how i actually cook this❤
I've done that before too, don't worry! I find the key with making this soups flavours complex is take it low and slow. Take your time getting that light caramelization, and really slow simmer for soft and fluffy potatoes! Hope this helps :)
What is the recipe?
❤❤❤❤❤looks delicious 😋
Ingredients: * 2 tbsp butter * 3 large leeks * half a white onion * 3 tbsp minced garlic * 5 large potatoes peeled and cubed * 1 litre chicken stock (or sub veg) * salt and pepper to taste * 1 cup half and half cream * Optional garnish: croutons, green pepper, chilli oil, or grated cheese Full recipe with steps on my website here rootsandwildflowers.ca/blogs/news/potato-leek-soup
@@rootsandwildflowers thank you so much
Do you sale your seeds, i love to drink it,Thank you.
Hi there! I don’t sell seeds, however you should be able to easily find seeds at your local garden centre. It’s quite a popular herb/flower to grow!
Grind up they lemon 🍋 rind in the garbage disposal for freshness
very informative!
Csa should stand for the confederate states of America everywhere
Question..... why bloom side down if we're shaking them around every day or so? Thank you so much for sharing.
Great question! It helps to maintain the form of the blooms while they are going through the beginning stages of the drying process. It also allows the air to circulate around the petals, stems and leaves evenly preventing mould and mildew. You could dry them right side up, but this helps hold the shape of the petals best if they're upside down to start.
Thanks, Kirsten! I would like to do that. 😊
You’re welcome! You should definitely try, it makes a lovely tea!
Vinegar is not environmental.
What kind of chamomile is that one, is too big flowers?
These are small flowers, I believe the variety I’m growing is German chamomile!

NEVER trust a cook who doesn’t show you the final results!
The reason these were not cooked in this video is because we picked over 100 peppers from our garden and batch froze/vacuum sealed them all in packages of a dozen to enjoy as appetizers throughout the year! I have posted on my Instagram stories what they look like cooked multiple times :)
So don't bake the them before you freeze them?
You should at least show the end result
@@shred9395I just used my imagination. I imagine they are delicious
looks great!
I tried to grow em but i failed dame
Does the bacon come out nice and crispy?
No
Ok
Don't salt yet. Salt while you are cooking with it. You don't know yet, how salt the other ingredients are, that you put it in. You can always put more in. Take away, not so much
Even better if you do equal parts water vinegar and sugar and little bit salt and pepper
That sounds amazing, I’ll have to give it a try next time! Thank you for the tip
Traditional Scandinavian pickles are equal parts sugar vinegar water (1 cup each) to 1 tbls salt and pepper to taste, no dill. So so good. Supposedly it’s a Viking recipe
Great video!
looks great!
Thanks! 😁
What you are left with is scratched stainless steel
It’s pronounced DEBREE
I'll never have another stainless steel sink again, they are awful 😞
Don’t listen to this person and scrub ur sink with salt….. unless u wanna scratch it up
Tq🤗
to keep them fresh, soak them for 1 minute in fresh water with 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar added, rinse and dry one by one and put them in a closed glass jar in the fridge, it lasts a week
I've been doing this for a long time.
I just use a sponge and some Dawn dish soap
Ikr and considering how much limescale there is in water, the sparkling will mostly depend on how well you dry. I like using kitchen towels rather than those yellow rags or even microfiber cause microfiber doesn't always dry things too well.
I highly dislike stainless steel stinks they get scratched up so easily
I would have to agree, we had one of those black grantine ones at our old house and it was easier to keep clean. This one (and our appliances) were super scratched and dinged up when we moved into this home. I can say I do prefer the larger one bay sink though!
You can just use bleach and you will get the same result without scratching the sink with the salt
I can’t use bleach in our sinks as our home is on a well and septic tank, and it will ruin the level of good bacteria in our tank :)
U didn’t clean sides of sink. I can see the dirt on the sides still
Sides were clean, it was just water droplets left after rinsing
