The mission of Creative Communities International is to:
•Build the capacity of citizens and cities to create vibrant neighbourhoods, prosperous shopping streets and magical public spaces.
•Inspire individuals, communities, organisations and decision-makers to unlock their latent creative genius and to 'think outside the box'.
•Empower individuals to take personal responsibility for fixing a broad range of community issues.
•Encourage politicians, decision-makers, and city staff to stop fixing problems for the community by developing tools that empower the community to take civic responsibility.

A combination of passionate local volunteers, a flexible council (City of Kwinana) and a committed sponsor (RAC) led to one of our most successful makeovers so far.

The 7 Day Makeover is a service that Creative Communities have delivered in towns and cities across Australia and New Zealand.....but Turners Beach (Tasmania) was different. This was the first 7 Day Makeover that wasn't based around increasing business or tourism. The sole purpose of this Makeover was to create a space for the local community.
