LOVE this so much. I keep asking folks to find a place to celebrate that creative part of them. It doesn't have to be just art, I think it's whatever makes your heart SING!!! Though like you, I personally find that ART is a means to have those non verbal conversations with ourselves all the while admiring our growth and always seeing our potential. I appreciate that you too are putting out the call for creativity. I honestly think it is the Key to deep healing and allowing us all to connect with that child inside of us, that I believe is the "Spark" of our soul. Your transparency is refreshing. This forest backdrop is beautiful. I live in the desert, not much greenery. No real evidence of autumn 🍂 here. I’m a counselor now but I started as an educator which I love but not a reliable career move since we have had so many changes since the pandemic.
I really can’t document to show what I do. I counsel people, and in the beginning, I doubted my effectiveness I came to realize the more I know about what I speak the more confident I became. In the beginning I would dread having a group and how I would lead the group I’ve since learned to help them lead themselves and that’s been a big change also.

I think i first experienced doubt when i was 8 year or so. I have a syndrome and when i was young i talked nasally. Someone made comments about that and that hit me. It wasn't even that harsh comments but it really had an impact. And since then also my art and my life. I'm afraid to try. I'm afraid to fail. Artwise, i also feel guilty of squandering markers, good marker paper, etc. That voice in my head indeed 😞
I still don't like my voice up untill today although people say it isn't weird..

Hello Maki 😘, your videos are truly moments of comfort that bring me peace and keep anxiety away. We are never fully satisfied with what we produce, I think that is part of the very definition of the artist. There is always better than oneself and even if we progress and reach the desired level, a new level appears to us while we immediately wish to reach. I am currently in art block and maybe this video will give me the courage to pick up a pencil or a pen (I hope). If I do, I will send you the drawing!😉 Unfortunately, I am unable to create at the same time as you because my English being what it is, I am forced to read the subtitles provided by YT if I want to understand what you are talking about and they scroll very quickly! I also thank Google for providing me with a tool that translates my comment in French into an English that, I hope, is sufficiently understandable. I am so admiring of your free way of creating, you seem not to care at all about the final result and this gives your works a spontaneity and a magnificent freshness in addition to a truly personal style😍. It's so good to see you back creating!!! Thanks for a very encouraging and beautiful video!!! As someone who's probably one of your older subscribers, I'm 50, I tried thinking back to a time when I felt I wasn't good enough, or not good at all. I think for me, drawing has always been an outlet. I drew when things were fine and going well, but I also drew when things weren't going so well, or maybe when I was sad or depressed. For me, it was like eating food or breathing oxygen. So, while I don't think there was a time where I didn't feel good enough, I know there were times when I recognized that there were those considerably better than me,...better artists. Even now, at 50, I'll see artists' work that I feel is so much better than mine, and those artists are half my age, or even younger 😂😂😂. That can be a little disheartening, but I always remind myself that I can only do MY best,...not someone else's best. I also remind myself that even if my skills improved 100%, there would always still be people whose skills are better than mine. So, again, I continually try to do MY best,...not someone else's best. Your work and your words are beautiful, encouraging, and reassuring. I look forward to many more videos, so I can learn from you, and create alongside you. 😊😊😊

I agree with you,...when you're a lifelong artist, letting our creativity loose definitely grounds us, heals us, and if we feel lost for a period of time, it can bring us back to ourselves. I'm glad that some of my thoughts resonated with you and maybe even touched your heart and soul. We as artists are such deep, feeling, and passionate people. Your Safe Space Studio is such a wonderful & unique idea! One year ago I found your videos here on RUclips and they helped me a lot to overcome selfdoubting and finding joy again in creating art for myself! It’s beautiful that you‘re back and doing well! As an Art Therapy Student I‘m learning that trusting the process is essential - in our society we often only focus on the result… I remember being a child - creating art was peaceful, exciting and I never wanted to stop…! :) We all can re-learn how to love and accept ourselves and kindly let go the version of us being afraid of other opinions! It is not easy, especially when our head told us we‘re not good enough for so long! But I believe in the healing journey and sending so much love to every artist around here <3

Thanks 😊soul sis…. I feel so connected to you😮 for some reason. I have dealt with similar thoughts (ego) then over burn myself with self dough. Yikes! I guess I have to embrace that iam a multidimensional creative beign I cannot judge it. But love it and have more compassion towards my heart.
