Hi excellent video very helpful! I wonder if you can help me out when I use the smart dimension tool I'm not getting the dimension figure on the drawing with the red line I do get the dimension entry dialog box to enter the figure but nothing shows on the drawing how do I fix this.

How do you do this on Solid Edge 2021? I cant find the button which lets you add the 2D drawing view

Normally, you're not supposed to be typing it all in manually in the draft environment. The data is supposed to be pulled from part and assembly files and the property manager.

The new version of solid edge is not the same as the old version, and it's not nearly as easy to use. These old tutorials are helpful but can't figure out how to do the same things. I wonder why all these software companies are always changing things but rarely make them better

I did this and it worked great but after I tried to put in the dimensions they font and arrows came out HUGE what did I do wrong?

in the same file, when you add a sheet with the same background after modifying the text as shown in this video the added sheet will keep the modifications. If you modify this new sheet, the changes Will also appear in the first sheet. This is problematic if you are working in an assembly draft because you want every sheet to have, say, different titles, as each shet shows a different part of the assembly. Do you know how to modify a sheet background but not see the changes in the rest of sheets?

What version of Solidworks is this? I have 2011 (yep) and it seems to work diferently.. BTW: is the problem you're using actually Solidworks?
