Scott Sharrard is a revalation to this band. Wierd observation I had about this song a couple of months ago. This song is an obvious double entendre, which makes sense with Lowell being a student of Frank Zappa. Mostly with the title line "rocket in my pocket, finger in the socket." The fact that Lowell used a Sears spark plug socket as his slide adds a while new meaning.

I remember the early 1970's hearing "Blue Sky" for the first time,I still get that feeling today,such a free traveling type song of joy! Thanks to the whole band!

Great memories. I lived in Bradenton Minnesota and used to hang out at Anne ree island and worked at a Mexican restaurant there after I got out of the service 1980 84. Saw the guy's live a lot. And even talk to greg once in or twice used to go to the purple purpose very good memories

It’s good to hear Duane taking some chances. I don’t think they all work but.., It would have been nice to have Tal step up like Berry did during the transition from guitar to slide guitar! She’s sure has the chops!!

What a Great show we had in Reading last night !!! Thank You Chuck for filling in the few names I could not remember and also very much impressed me ! Been seeing lots of Live Music for 50 years and that was the most talent I have ever seen together on one stage ! I am already getting geared up for next year ! The women were super great ! Only knew of Tal before last night. Gonna check them all out for sure. we also has Sierra Hull last night too. The one word for our nearly 3 hour show was.......WOW !

If I close my eyes, because I was fortunate enough to see Duane and Dickey in mid Sept. of ‘71 it sounds damn near like it’s them up there! Rock on AllBetts Band you are your own players but you are so together…so were the Brothers!!!!👏👏
