My path has evolved from a career as a professional dancer with a BFA in Dance, to an educator of movement, and now Doctoral student of Physical Therapy. My experiences and several injuries pushed me to pursue extensive studies in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and biomechanics and the years I spent healing and recovering from injury have provided me with invaluable tools and a unique skill set that informs how I treat and care for others on their own physical rehab path.
My mission is to provide empathetic, intelligent, thoughtful, and thorough movement education and treatment through a science backed, integrative, and multidisciplinary approach. I have completed multiple courses with Threes Physiyoga Method (where I am a Senior Instructor and Head of Content), Gary Ward's AiM, Functional Anatomy Seminars, Kula Yoga Project, PRI, DNS, and ELDOA.

Do you have a flat or very straight thoracic spine?
Просмотров 2402 месяца назад
👉🏻Do you have a flat or a very straight thoracic spine? 🔹The thoracic spine is a primary curve of the spine and is natural kyphotic, meaning it bends outward. 🩻The rib cage is attached to the thoracic spine and this kyphosis is very important because it helps protect vital organs like the heart, major blood vessels, and nerves in the thoracic cavity. 😮💨Our diaphragm, the primary muscle of resp...

📈Do you have one shoulder that sits lower than the other? 👉🏻Make sure to check what’s happening in your rib cage! 🩻When the ribs are compressed on one side, it can give the appearance of a shoulder that sits lower than the other. 🫁Good news is that we change the shape of the ribs using the breath which has a direct impact on how the shoulders rest on the rib cage! 🔸Roll up a big blanket and use...

🤓Anatomy fun fact time! 😯Did you know you have one joint that attaches your arms to your body? It is called the sternoclavicular joint! 👉🏻Because of this, the shoulder girdle is very very very mobile, but we are able to gain stability from the many muscles that attach around the shoulder, the rib cage, and the spine in this region of the body. 🦴Let’s feel it move… place a hand on your collarbon...
Upper back or neck pain? Make sure your shoudlerblades can move!
Просмотров 1224 месяца назад
😖Upper back or neck pain? 👉🏻Let’s make sure your shoulderblades can move. The shoulderblades are basically anatomical slang for your scapulae! 😯What’s cool about the shoulderblades is that their connection to the back of the rib cage is via muscles not via a bon to bone link making them a “false joint.” 🔹This is one reason why it’s very important that you are able to move your shoulderblades so...

I have this unfortunately. Been doing strength training for my lower traps and serratus anterior muscles but still don’t see a difference. Don’t know what to do i’m losing hope lol
Still no improvement?
@@Theo-zd7xy No. I stopped working out these specific muscles unfortunately. I guess consistency is key here.
Thanks for sharing😁🙏

Thank youn9nce again for this wonderful video. You're Feet are very beautiful and healthy looking, and I hope one day to have healthy Feet as well. Thank you
Lovely, thank you so much. May I say... I do Love Feet, and your Feet are very amazing, but.. I also have many problems with my own Feet. Thank you.. You represent a very educational and thorough explanation of Feet and the problems we have. Yes, while I do enjoy watching your videos to look at your Wonderful Feet, I am also learning many things that will help me with my Foot problems. Thank you. I Love your Channel
Glad it’s helpful! Definitely easier to process without extra sound 😊
Straight to the point, nice videeo! Not sure if it was on purpose, but it's actually so refreshing and calming to have just no sound
Hello, it is a very nice and useful content, but how do you move all your toes in order? For me, only my thumb and the one next to it move, how do you move your smallest finger?
Keep practicing! This is normal to not be able to move toes independently when you start.
Love it. For some reason some of your videos don't have any audio.
Hi Sandra! Sorry for any confusion! There isn’t any audio for this clip.. It is a snip from an online course that I created for the feet. That’s why you see my mouth moving but the video is sped up and there is no audio attached 😅
This is gold
Thank you!
Is this for pregnant women or anyone can do it? Can male athletes do this?
Yes this is for everyone! It is the mechanics of breathing and a nice way to connect to the movements or the diaphragm and pelvic floor: Especially good for pregnant women who tend to breathe more laterally because of baby growing. Also great for male athletes!
@@giuliaplinemovement thank you Giulia
I do the tuck at the top of squats. Is that not appropriate?
All depends on what your intention is behind it! It’s not right or wrong just one way to do it.
