BO6 has good sound design but people will needlessly complain about how it's "not as good as BO1" even though they know damn well that OG COD sfx were dogshit

God, the shotgun SFX in BO1 (and BO II for that matter) were godawful. In general I feel like people are blinded by nostalgia when they say BO1's SFX were good. They really weren't, especially when you take into account the incessant rattling sounds you hear in the game proper. The only sounds that I see people consistently point to as being satisfying are the 1911's sounds - and those were reused assets from World at War.

These sounds make the guns feel like they have weight to them

MWIII is the best imo. BO3 is a close second, but the charging handle sound plays too quickly in between the pull and release segments.

Bo1 had awful sounds. They sound so hollow and plastic like.

This is one of the reasons why the community is still fine with cold war.
