Hi, Hope you don't mind me querying. We've just fitted a large number of of Danfoss HIUs on a scheme in Ireland, we've had a few instances of the Danfoss VMT valves pin sticking inside, once you wiggle them in and out with pliers or press them a few times they go again, Every seen anything like that.
What was wrong with the old one? I'm not a fan of Evinox HIUs but would not replace it.
Quality
I noticed they have a 180 model two, I’m wondering if you could just undo the screws on the body and spin the heads?
We were advised by the manufacturer that there are no repair kits for this specific valve at the moment, so we don’t take it apart and only offer a new replacement. Wouldn’t be able to say if it can be altered in any way.
@@adddetailhiu8556 it’s an expensive repair when replacing the IHPT at roughly £450.00 parts only…then there’s labour to add
I have one at my flat. I have running hot water but no heat. The pressure and pump works fine, only thing I notice that when I turn on the heating the heat exchanger for heat is not warm. Are you able to help explain why that would be.
Could be either TWA-230v actuator or RAVK controller zone valve pins stuck in closed position or differential pressure valve seized but would have to go through elimination sequence to find out.

There is no secondary heating pressure switch for this specific unit.

Wht is ihpt valve
It is a flow-compensated temperature controller, type IHPT. Simply I would say it controls domestic hot water temperature by regulating district heating flow through the heat plate exchanger. When hot water tap is opened IHPT valve opens, thermostat senses DHW temperature coming out of the heat plate exchanger and starts to control temperature.
