This was so usefull that blew my mind, can you uploud a image of the kanji that you tell us to start with please ?
Thank you :D
Хоть я и плохо знаю английский, однако понял посыл этого видео и открыл для себя новое в изучении японского языка. Теперь стало ещё сложнее 💀
Great video, thanks for that 👍
To memorize it better, you have to forget the ridiculous "on" and "kun" and use the idea of Chinese of original (popular at the place where it was borrowed) and local reading of pictograms.
Great video! どうがはおもしろかったです。 I watched with interest. I’d love to know more about each part of the Kanji. Like the Radicals 紙、終わる、手紙 The symbol on the left side of かみ appears in these words/verbs. What are the radical meanings? I’ll look forward to you next video. I’ve subbed 👍🏼 ありがとうございますまたねー
mds , era por isso que eu não entendia os kanji junto , pensava que só existia a versão "kun" de se ler
I used to study Kanji with book called "The key to all Joyo Kanji" where ancient forms and literal meanings of each Kanji explained. It took about 4 months to complete this book, but most of what I can remember is how to write 2136 Joyo Kanji. I bought this book just for curiosity.
grea video!p)ease continue
Good video: Small addition: Names can defy all rules but you often get the pronunciation in hiragana on first visit. Rarely the pronunciation nothing to do with on/kun reading. 春夏雪 is akinai because 秋(aki) is missing. But if you want to learn japanese don't fear this. kanji learning itself is a bit overrated. learning vocabulary with kanji and pronunciation will make you learn it. Also english pronunciation of certain letters is highly depending on the word it self and changes like though/tough
Good teaching. Thanks.
Learn words, not kanji.
This is great🎉🎉
Make more videos plz
Good introduction to kanji for all viewers, thanks
Excellent video.
Woow! Honestly you explained the difference better than anyone else I've found. I knew there were 2 different readings but didn't quite get it the first time (and that was like 3 months ago). Please keep going and don't stop making videos! You won a subscriber :)
ありがとうございます🥰💪✨
This is great! Thanks! 🙏
ありがとう🥰💪
This was very informative. Great job ✌️
ありがとうございます☺️✨👍🏽
It is also read as TA which you cant tell from spelling 大門 だいもん 大会 たいかい
Great video! I have been struggling with how to learn Kanji and this helped a ton. 👍
Thank you 🙏. This was a great introduction to Kanji. Please keep making more as it was really helpful.
ありがとうございます☺️✨がんばります💪✨
ありがとう from ヴェネズエラ
Unfortunately, there are exceptions to this general rule. Example: 東山 is read with the kun-reading: higashi yama, and not the on-reading: tou san. However, 東京 is read with on-reading: tou-kyo. Both examples are names (of places). Worse, some kanji have multiple kun-readings (eg: 島 - shima or jima), while others have multiple on-readings (eg:月- getsu or gatsu). I end up just memorizing all these exceptions, because the usual rule doesn't apply.
Thanks for the tip. I would love to see more videos about Kanji organised in playlists so we can easily find videos for revision. I am definitely subscribing to your channel 😍
ありがとうございました先生。今日のビデオはとっても便利です。
Especially with 大, this method doesn't work at all. 大型(oogata)、大水(oomizu). Right idea, but questionable choice of kanji.
great video, keep up the good work, ありがとうございます
ありがとうございます☺️🙏がんばります☺️💪
Please make more videos. 🙏🏼 It was so helpful
Thank you for making such a high quality lesson! The information is so well organized and the visuals are simple and clean. You're a great teacher, please keep it up! :)
すごい❗please make more kanji videos. Very easy understanding ありがとうございます❗
This was helpful, thanks!
Very useful! Thank you!
Finally explained logically when to use the different readings, thank you so much from the Netherlands.
オランダからありがとうございます☺️✨🇳🇱
Amazing, thank you so much :)
This is very helpful to understand why. Thanks!
This was very helpful. Thank you!
ありがとうございます☺️🙏
Very well done, thank you. I am a concrete learner and with words having many Kanji, I learn better when I know what each kanji means. Example: jitensha. "ji" self, "ten" roll, and "sha" vehicle. These same meanings will then be helpful in learning other kanji with the same characters.
I really love your video, I am studying japanese and kanji is a little bit difficult for me but your video has helped me a lot, I hope you continue with your videos, I am your fan and I thank you very much for this gift 💓. I will follow you in Instagram. 🤗
ありがとうございます! I'm so glad you liked the video! I'm working on more now, がんばります🥰💪
All fun and games until you try to read names. Good luck.
So, not only do I have to memorize a dictionary-long alphabet composed of slightly different strokes, but for each one, I must remember two pronunciations. With the added bonus that when spoken, I have no clue if it's the kanji or a group of hiragana with different meanings?
This is the best video that I have seen to understanding kanji. Do you have any book recommendations for learning? Can't wait for the next video :)
ありがとうございます☺️🙏I think I should make a video about Japanese Kanji books?✨
Amazing first video! Looking forwarding to any future uploads 😊
I can't beleve that this is your first vd. Quality are outstanding. Keep going sensei. 😘
ありがとうございます😊🙏! I’m so happy to hear you liked it! I’ll try to keep making great content!🥰
I once watched in a video that the reason there are a lot of on-reading and kun-reading ways, is because people in Japan used to refer to something in a way in a region and in other way in other region, also that when learning Chinese, there were a lot of problems to teach how to say something, so japanese people thought Chinese people pronounced something in a way while others heard other thing. That's why a particular kanji have various readings. English is not my first language, so if it's looks difficult to read or weird, sorry for that.
what about words like 毎月 which uses on and kun readings? do these exceptions happen often? I feel like it's a coinflip sometimes which reading will be used haha...
