@@green1985i Thanks, i had an m140i before this and its a very different car, probably was a bit more fun, but it always felt like it wanted to kill you at every opportunity, it was a very short snappy chassis especially when you up the power, an LSD helps a lot to make it more predictable

@@colinurquhart145 tyres were ok, small bit of wear on the top of the sidewall but I only did a few laps at a time and then let the car cool down for 20-30 mins. I've wrecked tyres in the past on other cars staying out for too many laps !

yes, you definitely hear more exhaust noise in the cabin when accelerating hard, but when just cruising and the exhaust flap is closed its not too much louder than stock.

This is just Remus axle back(muffler) with a VRSF sports cat downpipe

I would not want it any louder. as you said on a 5er this is loud enough. I would be tempted to try the remus midpipe to see how the sound or volume changes but , im happy with how it is currently

@@InnaB58 is the drone any worse that stock cruising at 100-120 on the highway?

@@kamac1980 If you leave the exhaust valve open there is a slight increase in drone at highway speeds, with the valve operating as normal(closed while cruising) there is no noticeable increase in drone for me

Probably about 18-20mpg. Thankfully I do low mileage 😂

@@sennavr1855 if I daily on the E30 tune it's about 20mpg. In the crappy 91oct/95ron tune it's maybe 24mpg. City driving only and my car seems to be stuck in Sports+ 😂

Man you’re real fast 😂. The 35d is rapid, economical and useable. The 1 series is a shoebox with power, skittish on the road. Off the mark and in real world the 35d is a fantastic car.

@@craigwatson169 I got LSD fitted with m4 underarms, also lowered, world of different, now it handles like a go cart with the LSD, you should get the 340i or 440i the b58 is on different league and doesn’t sound like a Ford diesel van and blow smoke.

You don't have to get the Remus tips but you will need to then fit some tips to put on. I have since switched to smaller Matt carbon black tips as they are a bit more subtle than the big chrome ones

It wasn't a very well organized day, so pairings were very random throughout the day

@@InnaB58 i would say it was a good day nonetheless. The m140i sounds great. They look good for what they are. In that i mean hatchbacks are not for me, but i recognize they are stylish.

Get M340i it’s got the B58TU which at stage 2 will make close to 500BHP with just a downpipe.

Are all the cars you listed RWD? Its a good list to be looking at and had a similar list before i bought the 540i, mine is xdrive so it launches well. The m340i would have the nicest interior, agility too being a 3 series chassis, i wouldn't go for the older f10 M5, too old and increased maintenance cost. M3 would be nice and a proper M car, but i just preferred the cabin and size of the g30 for my needs. It all depends on what you will also mainly be using the car for. %40 is my only and only car so a daily driver but with the few upgrades its greatly improved the potency. If you go past 06/20 for the m340i it will mist likely have a locked ECU so you will need to get that bench unlocked before you can start tuning it

F10 M5 . I have a 540i it's fast but not crazy fast stock.

I think the m340i 2020 is the sweet spot out of them. F80 such a nice shape but yeah a little more of a risk with the hub. 540i 2018 is good if you need more room/boot space.

Yep gen 1 with upgraded turbo and fueling pump, full weight i think is around 1950kg with driver . Best 1/4 mile on the day was 11.1, it was pulling boost on the flex fuel tune. definitely better to be had with some more more work and should dip into the 10s

Thanks! You would probably do better than I did in this clip, they should be able to dip into the 10s with these mods, I'll try a different tuner soon and custom transmission tune to see if it helps

I was running e50 on the day on a new flex fuel Tune revision, checking the logs of the day, it didn't like e50 so was pulling boost to keep things safe, so still a bit more work to do if I want to run e50

@@InnaB58 Okay, that explains it. You should be running in the 10’s. I am also stage 3 running flex fuel on E50. 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and 1/4 mile in the high 10’s. Respect to the M5 it was moving.

@@josedesilva5836 yep it was only running 23psi so it felt more like e30. . I should have left it on the static e50 tune which is a lot stronger. Left my MHD adapter at home so couldn't change tunes on the day. Rookie error 😂

Except it wasn't a street race, it was a VMAX event. Of course xdrive will launch much better than a RWD from a standing start. Still reeled in the turf burner in easily and crossed the line before him and a much higher top speed. Sounds like a win to me .

Yes, this is Pure800 cast turbo with DS2 hpfp, XHP stage 3, MHD flex fuel kit, Vrsf sports cat, MST intake , Remus exhaust , E50 flex fuel tune revision on this video . Just using launch control mode to see how it performed

Yes its the VRSF sports cat, there is only a slight smell on first cold start for a minute, which is only noticeable if you stand behind the car

Yeah I'm not used to those lights and they were giving issues all day and a lot of runs got no times. It was a bit of disorganized chaos. The m5 was in the mid 10s on the day I think and I was 11.1 at best on the flexfuel tune so not too far off . I've since discovered 2nd gear launches are better!

@@InnaB58 Im debating about getting the Remus catback, as i also have the VRSF catted downpipe and OPF filter, but i think the drone would drive me nuts.

@@InnaB58 Problem is i want to make the car stage 2+ which requires OPF off, thats why im looking for options without cutting the mid res, cuz the position of it is very tricky to weld on. Thank you once more.

@@viktorhristozov125 mine is non OPF so I can't help there. I just cut my mid pipe at back at the mark point and slipped on the Remus axle back. I wouldn't Want it any louder. The sports cat adds more volume than the Remus.
