What I was personally Totally Amazed At Was Not Because Of Her Unexpected Winners That She Rode...It Was HOW GRACEFUL SHE WAS THROUGH-OUT THE RIDE...many of the male jockeys would be kind of out of breath..but, not Chantal...She "Goes Easy On Her Horse"...abd notice how she Always Pats...Grooms..and Shows Love...while in the post parade onto the track. This is what caught my attention...(and Her Beauty...Of Course.). Thank You

That film footage of Native Dancer is golden. It was a daughter of Native Dancer who produced the great Ruffian. I loved watching this and I enjoyed seeing the Preakness trophy sitting on the table there. That must be the trophy won by Native Dancer.

Larry Jones is a class act.I was leaving Delaware park racetrack and passed by Mr Jones as he was leaving the racing secretary 's office as I walked by him he looked right at me and said hello . Thought that was extremely gracious of him most people of his fame and stature wouldn't give you the time of day.Great horseman.

One of the smoothest movers. Physically a very efficient running machine. Not big muscular. Classy and kind. I remember going to watch him gallop prior to the Preakness. Jack did an interesting thing; he took the blinkers off to run over that very sloppy track. I always though that was a good idea and wondered why other trainers didn't. Didn't bother Al. What a horse. I wanted to breed my mare to him, not to race but to have. His stud fee was not out of my reach as his offspring were not burning up the track. They were late developers. Not desirable for the American market. I thought he went to So. Africa to stand at stud, not Saudi Arabia. I could have given him a very nice retirement home.

May 13, 2022 As much as I've enjoyed the Kentucky Derby every May, cannot watch because I still weep for BARBARO: This Horse forever stole my Heart, along with millions around this World. The heartbreak for those who personally cared for him is even now, after all these years. I loved Barbaro, not for the Win but the Spirit from within and how he captivated us all with Love in his Fight to really LIVE. Respectfully, deb in SC
