I have many guitars, including 3 Martins (1963 D-28 and a 000-16), I also have an Ibanez AVC9-OPN. The Ibanez was a low price guitar...BUT it came with the greatest "out-of-the-box" setup I've ever seen on a guitar. It was absolutely perfect. The tone of this guitar (it's mahogany) was unreal. Ibanez gets an A+ for this one, I love it! I've had it for several years and I play it almost every day.

I bought an RG Genesis about 6 weeks ago...had to go with the Electric Blue model, it is an amazing guitar. I really wanted the white one but it isn't available anymore.....I'm going to put a flat black pickguard on it, and a set of black dome metal knobs. The pickups are good...no complaints on them at all.

It seems like fender and especially Gibson rest on the reputations they built early on, periodically try to revive quality and value, mostly get there and put in another generation and then lapse onto the reputation. Ive wanted a real proper les paul all my life but now it feels like Gibson just doesnt deserve it.

I never liked Ibanez as I like chunky necks. Then the AZ series came around and now I own several. Very cool guitars!

When I was a teen back in the mid 90's I wanted a Ibanez so bad, but I ended up with a Harmony as my first guitar, then years later I found a Dean for a decent price, ...still never owned a Ibanez

I had a 4001 red rickky ibanez that was a cool bass should never traded it for my 72 pre. I had roadstar 6 str and the 6 string both sold but over all Ibanez is world class guitar makers

Can some one tell me where the Antoria range of guitars fit into this - I am convinced they are Ibanez - exact same font for headstock logo pancake body 3 piece neck glued in and law suit head stock ,split diamond decal (based on les Paul custom) I have one and it is head an shoulders above anything else I have including Gibsons. Believe was made in that factory bridge has made in Japan stamped on it has white, not cream, poker chip and 3ply white scratch plate. Tuners have the Ibanez Star? on the back of them. Any info from anyone who knows would be most welcome. Great vid btw

My two favorite guitars that I owned the Fender Strat and the Ibanez Prestige. Never cared for Gibson or other makes other than PRS but never purchased a PRS.

I bought the rarest Ibanez, #2671 Artist Series "John McLaughlin" double-neck brand new. They only made 49 of these. "Bob Weir" played a #2670 single neck.

I really like this. The guitar is completely tuned to what you think he'd like/need. Very thoughtful gift. Also not sure what you use for solder but seriously look at silver solder. A cold silver solder is stronger vs a perfect non-silver solder.

Nothing unlikely about Ibanez success. Hoshino had help in the USA with foks like H. Rosenbloom and Elger. The copy era came to an end almost half a century ago. Well made guitars at reasonable cost.

That 1983 period for me was the most captivating I remember perusing that catalogue with those Roadster s and beautifully elegant Artist series with arched tops and even symmetrical cutaways resembling a better version of a double cutaway Les Paul.

Love Ibanez necks and fretboard. They are fast and relaxed at the same time.

I always liked the thin necks on ibanez. The high models are wonderful guitars, but the entry levels are usally very poor quality.
