My first drone video, testing it out. Definitely a hot day in the prairies. Footage taken off of Highway 20 in Saskatchewan, Canada (NW of Regina) in summer 2022. Video recorded with a mini drone (DJI).

Yes, it is legal to fly a drone in Brandon, Manitoba, but there are specific rules and guidelines that you must follow to ensure the safety of people and aircraft. You must comply with Canadian Aviation regulations, have a valid drone pilot license, register your drone if it weighs between 250 grams and 25 kilograms, and comply with all applicable laws, including those related to privacy. In addition, you must fly your drone safely and responsibly, always keeping it in sight, at a maximum height of 122 meters, away from people and publicized events, and outside the controlled airspace. It is not allowed to fly over restricted areas such as forest fires. Breaking these rules can result in significant fines or even time in prison.

This is Beautiful. Which Model are you using ? My belive was all categories of Droens are restricted on Jasper - Banff.
Thanks so much! I used the Dji mini 3 micro drone. The footage was just east of Jasper National Park but I believe you are right about that rule. Using drones under 250g will minimize requirements in many areas too (drone certificate can help also).

Nice video. Also good to see large riverboats still in use. Winnipeg retired all theirs in favour of pontoon craft due to unpredictable water levels.
