the projectiles have super weak priority being beat by basicly any hitbox and when he runs out of mana he becomes the most squishy thing in game. So while its bad yea and prob a bit much (as someone who is maining the character now), its partly just flashyness and it isnt nearly as bad as it looks. Also with the vid its a specific thing that you gotta do like 4 things first to let you spam like that. Along with a little bit of luck

Neither party is able to keep track of what he's able to do during the frantic parts of the match, so people playing him just mash out his normals until they have enough space to actually look at his cards and people playing against him just do their usual set play against zoners because it's not worth it to try and keep track of his cards when they change every couple seconds. There's little interactivity, and most matches are just the Asuka spamming spells until they miscalculate, run out of mana and die while their opponent just tries to slowly approach while blocking everything.

@@note4note804 he literally just came out, it's likely gonna take some time for strategies to develop for and against him since he has a lot of complexity to his mechanics.

@@cong5805 Except he doesn't have compexity, he's just too random to be able to play as or against. You could invent a character that only used everyone's normals, but everytime you pressed the button it changed to a different character and your only clue was that it would show 4 images of the character that your buttons had turned into. That's not a complex character, it's just rng that's hard to play with or against.

Test case 3 contains both of the spells needed to make this work. You're looking for Bookmark (Auto Import) and Recover Mana (Continuous). Once you've activated both of these spells, you have 15 seconds where your mana is regenerating constantly and 10 seconds where all of your spells replace themselves. From there you can pretty much just mash spells to cast as many as possible.

Honestly Asuka spells has so much hitstun it isn't too hard to make up some combos on the spot. Just keeping track of Mana and your card slots is the difficult part.

If anything you could argue she sometimes obscures what moves comes out somewhat. She's meant as a distraction I believe.

@@Drawfill she actually can telegraph a couple of moves that bedman does. she's pretty easy to ignore after a little practice in the matchup though, bed is way bigger than delilah.

Oro combos are just repetitive while Jamie's combos look cool and has a lot of flare to it plus it's easier

We have yet to see the full potential of the game mechanics, but as it currently stands for most of the cast 50% is the average damage output with one drive rush and 3 bars
