The WORST and BEST products by The Ordinary | Doctor's Honest Review
The BEST and WORST products from The Ordinary-A Cosmetic Doctor’s Honest Review 🩺✨
With so many products to choose from, The Ordinary can be overwhelming-and not everything lives up to the hype. In this video, I break down what works and what doesn’t, so you don’t waste your time (or money).
🚫 The Worst Products:
1️⃣ AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution: Strong isn’t always better-this can wreck your skin barrier if overused.
2️⃣ Glycolic Acid: Way too harsh for most skin types, especially at 7%.
3️⃣ Squalane Cleanser: Doesn’t cleanse effectively and feels too oily for me.
4️⃣ Hyaluronic Acid: Overhyped and sticky; there are better hydrating serums out there.
5️⃣ Niacinamide 10% + Zinc: Often irrit...

Cleaning private parts, use baby dove or sensitive dove.Do this everyday twice for 30 seconds each time with a gentle wash cloth.
When wiping use baby wipes for a truly clean.
When using a scented body gel I use Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash.
I use 5X s week Dove antibacterial soap/body wash.I use Dove exfoliating 2X.
I use Salux Nylon Japanese Beauty Skin Bath Wash Cloth/Towel everyday.
I usually mix my oil with the lotion in my hand before I apply
Could u please help me? I used an exfoliating glove on my underarm but it’s super red and irritated, I tried putting aloe Vera gel on it but it stung like hell.
This is how i do my everything shower! (I'll even include brands) 1. Dove bar soap, unscented, and for sensitive skin 2. Dove vanilla pampering body wash (scented, btw) 3. Dove exfoliating body scrub (due this 2-3 times a week) (Out shower) 4. Pat dry skin 5. Eos lotion on damp skin 6. Palmers oil 7. Fav body mist❤
I like it fot my oily skin. less irritant than the ordinary version
I love this stuff 😍
On a review they recommended using the AHA and BHA serum for 10 minutes and then washing it off, and only once per week. Would you say this is reasonable?
I have heard that Niacinamide at 10% is too high and it can cause more harm but as a South Asian I've had tremendous success with the ordinary's version but tbf I find that my skin loves Niacinamide as an ingredient, especially paired with Zinc, so I suspect that I may be an outlier. Thank you so much for sharing this! Merry Christmas and God bless! ❤
I love e45 lotion, moisturizer, sunscreen and serum. Not a fan of the foaming cleanser though.
Fr I have acne on my face, back, arms and chest, been struggling to get rid of it, just never seems to go away, I’ll give this a try though for the body acne, thank you 🥹
Had this done today for the first time. It was the first time I've heard about it, so I thought I would give it a go. Hopefully, we will get similar results as you
Fellow skincare enthusiast over here from SA 👋Doc, please review cetaphil too right after the Cerave one...although they are similar products😬
Oooo yes I can definitely do Cetaphil too!
This was great and I was first lol 🎉
I was really sad about this video getting low views but this comment really cheered me up, thanks so much 💜💜
@ be encouraged, 🥰 you’re doing great I blame the algorithm! You should see the stuff that pushes to the topic of my feed? 😩
@ thanks so much! Definitely going to keep creating. Hopefully at some point the algorithm gives me a push! 💜
I wasn’t blows away with this serum I wouldn’t spend the money on it there’s way better options at a better price point!!!!
Hey Dr Nicole I’ve just found your channel. Please post more about your USMLE and match journey 😊 I’m in med school atm but I’m seriously considering taking the steps
@@lauren-zz4rw are you in med school in the UK? Definitely consider doing the Steps! I’m going through The Match process at the moment. Hopefully I’ll match into a program and then make lots of content sharing my experience!
@ yes I’m at med school in the UK, looking forward to hearing more about your match experience!
Thank you for showing your before picture as well. I'm black and have a bulbous nose that dips downward instead of upward. I been thinking about getting botox to my nose and I think I'm going to go for it.
Does that really work ?Sound very simple will it fade mosquito’s bites n dark discolouration
@Jennifer-p5x3t yep it does work! You’ve got to be consistent though. Will definitely help with mosquito bite discolouration!
But which techniek do you mean, neferti or also other ? Thanks for sharing this great info❤
You are gorgeous! And I agree I’ve been doing this since I was teenager before social media, before I knew other girls/women were doing as much as I did and I can say the self confidence you can encourage from self care is unmatched. I’ve slacked off but your routine inspired me to up my game and enjoy beauty treatments like I always have.
Where can I buy
I have dark rings under my eyes I’m 45 now could it be because I’m anemic people think I be getting jumped on
She did not look like that on the left. Actually, Google what she really look like back then and you'll see a stark difference.
Anyone else realize she called it trash and it’s almost empty
@@Aisha_Harradine I like to do better than others and actually use the product for at least 3 months before reviewing ☺️
@ Ohhhh! Okay!!! That makes more sense! Thank you!
Have it from birth. Mine is from where my umbilical cord was wrapped twice around my neck.
Yes, please can you post something about getting rid of acne for each specific area.
Sometimes it’s as simple as physically irritating the skin. I started breaking out on my forehead again after cutting my bangs, and I get jawline acne from hugging my blanket when I sleep. Other than that, you should try to maintain generally good health by sleeping well, eating well, and exercising. That’s why people are always telling you to drink water and eat fruit or whatever.
For sure! Is there a specific area you’re personally struggling with? I can make some suggestions 😊
@Doctor.nicolej Unfortunately, I've suffered with acne for years, on my jawline, the sides of my chin, my cheeks sometimes and on the middle of my forehead only in between my eyebrows, (not on all of my forehead). I use a mild salicylic acid face wash and I've recently started Adapalene/Differin - using it every other day to start with, plus a moisturiser and sunscreen. I treat individual spots with benzyl peroxide. But I wonder, what causes acne in the areas I mentioned? And is there anything else skincare wise or diet wise I could do to help it?
I have acne on my cheeks and they are red ish and i have some on my forhead please help me fix them also my face is really oily do you know how to stop oil
@@zahraafzal8306 for over production of oil then use salicylic acid. Also sounds like you might get some benefit from a strong retinoid like adaplene or retinal
Hey Nicole, loved this video by the way i was wondering if i can help you edit your videos or create thumbnails and make engaging shorts out of your videos
So glad you enjoyed the video! And thanks for the lovely offer - but I'm trying to learn editing and creating for myself at the moment. But will keep you in mind for any future projects.
@@Doctor.nicolej You can save your time and leverage it . Time is limited and like for thumbnails bcs they can be improved if you like ????
Watching this back gives me the ick - why is it so low quality?! 😂🫠
Do you still recommend the product?
Any alternative
Very informative ❤
Thanks so much ❤
Hi,can i use it? I'm a breastfeeding mother with dry skin .please advise me.
Unfortunately you cannot use retinol while breastfeeding. But as you have dry skin maybe you could use this time to focus on hydration - then add in retinol when you're ready to finish breast feeding. You could introduce come barrier serums and thick moisturisers to do this. Let me know if you'd like some specific recommendations!
Yesss n This is Gonna b Extremely Helpful Dr. NJ🧴🔥🔥🔥👍n Happy Monday😀!!!….
Thanks so much!! this commend has made my day!! So glad you found the video helpful!!!
That has to also be mixed with ozempic or some kind of medication. It’s not normal to be mid sized all of a year ago and then suddenly be as skinny as her younger self. Thats not exercise we know that and also ozempic gives everyone that same really small look it almost looks unhealthy… I’m not even bashing Christina I’m genuinely concerned about her health.
This!
She has definitely aged. She got her face completely rearranged and doesn't even look like Christina
No
From what? 😬that sounds like rich people stuff 100%
She looks fantastic. But let’s be realistic that this is the result of a good facelift, a la Christina Aguilera, amongst other procedures. People don’t age backwards.
What is the layering of the products and when? For example, face wash, vitamin C AM? Toner, sunscreen , moisturizer? Night time routine? Thanks
For morning do face wash, (optional toner if you wish) vitamin C, your serum of choice (eg one with tyrosinase inhibitors), moisturiser and SPF For evening face wash, retinol on dry skin and moisturiser
Yeah, that’s not natural beauty though…
You is the best
@@kiffng5189 I got you 💜
How many comebacks does Junkie Lohan deserve? She's still abusing drugs and alcohol.
Some dermatologist says retinol is not good for under 24 years old. I’m 20 years old, would you recommend it? Thank you:)
@@MBm-du3yv it depends what you’re using it for. Retinol for anti aging would have little benefit in your age group. However if you’re using it on your body for fading hyperpigmentation then it’s perfectly ok!! 💜
@@Doctor.nicolej thank you ❤️
Great video, so informative. Thank you sis!
Thanks so much 💜 Glad you found it helpful!

Also you should tell the women not to use pads with the plastic on top of them like always they need to find one with a cotton on top women please hear me these always products is making us sick. It makes your cramps real bad and having problems like ovarian cancer endometriosis on our ovaries. Ladies a lot of these products out here for us to use is making it worse because of me using always products all these years I had to end up getting surgery because of it so please hear me ladies find organic things to use for your period being in severe pain during your period is not normal do not let nobody tell you that.
