@@poleng779 i would, but unfortunately i had to sell the grom. I appreciate the comment though
@@therealdabid aw dang, i hope you had a blast on the grom before letting it go. wishing you well!
@ i appreciate it. I definitely did. Groms are awesome
lol sounds like u just ride with the wrong guys there are plenty of rides for the groms or the z125 pro and it's a perfect learners bike I think u made the mistake of choosing this as your first bike usually people start off with 250s and move on up groms are fun bikes and perfect for group rides especially if u have real friends with groms please learn how to spread information your out here confusing folks man
@@frankrodriguez4480 my first bike was a suzuki gsx 500 lol. Not confusing anyone. The grom is a great 2nd bike in my opinion.
Just got a ‘22 yellow grom pre-owned with only 230 miles on it… love it!

Next time u have it apart clean ur spinner out its a 2 minute job also good idea to invest in a torque wrench
@@johnshanks7902 i have multiple torque wrenches. Thanks for the tip
Next time you do your oil change wrap a piece of foil around your exhaust pipe 👍🏾😉
@@chocolata2240 i mean thats fine. I dont mind it getting on the exhaust it just burns off
You should clean all that dirt out before the filter goes in.
@@barrymoore9061 i did off camera. Used a shop vac and agitated it with a brush
That how are blow your engine if you don't have your engine Mod 😊
@@chocolata2240 lol my grom has a oil pump mod. Without its fine when learning. Just add a half quart either way its a honda
I weigh 280 pounds and I ride a Grom to work. The freeways are a mess and take me 35 minutes to an hour to get to work. The back roads take me 40 minutes on my Grom.
@@DiogenesOfCa that’s how i am. If i take the interstate its slower actually
Keep Kickin' Ass!
@@GromBeardo thanks!
More rsx content bro!🙌🏽 jus picked up a 06 type s in black and I’m having trouble doing the trans fluid on it
@@Ulissesramales if you buy a hand pump you can pump it into the full hole on the transmission. I will definitely try to get more rsx content out
I went from an 800 to a 125. Boy what a power difference
I ride the Grom everywhere , I do groups rides in the Grom , I love the Grom best bike to do stupid shit in , I also have a GSXR 1000 , & a 125yz but I ride the Grom more then those two bikes
I commute 27 miles one way to work on my Grom.
Im part of the stock community, my 2000 mx5 is a perfect car as is and i want to keep it stock for as long as possible(until major engine failure)
@@theboat9311 nothing wrong with that. My wife’s rsx is basically stock. Just wheels and a cat back
Nice car! I have an 02 arctic blue pearl type-s. Just has a Borla cat back (deep and not nasty sounding) and that og comptech ice box ( kinda like a oem ish intake.) Has the a-spec interior bits but sadly not the body pieces. Next step is some suspension work, like gd what were they thinking? thing is way to high stock.
Thanks! That's cool. I would recommend going with k-tuned, skunk2 or bc racing coil overs from my personal experience with other brands as well. I definitely would stay away from godspeed, maxspeedingrods, and d2.
Bro can U tell me if this is a bargain? 2021 Kawasaki z150 Pro 2500ks on the clock for 3790 cheers
@@jaewu8803 thats not bad at all
Been watching vids on groms for over a month, prob have hundreds of hours in watching grom content alone within the span of a month. From stunting, group rides, to custom builds, engine swaps and mod vids alongside grom reviews. My mind is deadset on getting a grom, or even a monkey.
Same bro but I'm also a miata driver
I got one and do a 6 mile commute to work tbh i think at least for me i need a bigger bike 6'1 215. Its not thats its slow its more of just you bought a bike to lane split and you can but when you get to the front you better go wot 😂 cause its on lmao
Lean back dude your leaning forward to staying stationary need to lean back til balance point then USE the back brake
CAN but shouldn't as in most states anything under 150cc is illegal on the interstate. GREAT 'round town bike for sure.
I was looking for a small city bike. I thought about the Grom. The problem with Grom, is that it does a lot of things, but not of them spectacularly well. It's OKAY as a city bike, but you have to do a TON of shifting because of the small engine. It can do OKAY on the highway. But anything over a 300cc is far more serviceable. Any minimoto gets creepy once you cross 60 mph. So I went with the Navi. It's like half the cost of a Grom, has all of the torque to the low end to get off the line and up to city speeds quick. And most importantly, you don't have to shift. Plus, for basically a little more than the cost of one Grom, I can also get a second used cruiser that is actually built for interstate driving. Like a Shadow, or Boulevard is just so much better than the Grom. Hell, you can even get a used Royal Enfield 600 for about $3000 with low miles and a warranty left. So for a little more money I can have a masterful city bike, and a bike that will easily do the highway without any issues.
Just say you’re broke
@anonymous_message owning a city bike and a road bike, and paying insurance for both makes me broke, because I'd rather have that for a little more money than one minibike? Whatever makes you feel better, I suppose...
You're right about the Throttle and not powerful at all. The Grom is basically a small step from a 49cc
@@jasonlagud3483 well said
My Grom can easily maintain 50+ mph, not 60. I learned on the Grom I love it
@@jasonlagud3483 i can maintain 55+ uphill on the grom. Im glad I didnt learn on it due to the lack of throttle control. Its all an opinion though.
Man idk how u ain’t have any traction I appreciate this!
@@eckz7657 no problem
I️ have both of these cars lol my trucks blue and my type s is silver
Thats crazy!
.... Do you think a group ride is safer when going through a intersection
Yes. Group rides you just have to space yourself and ride your ride
I know your brother, Def!
I don't listen to any advice anymore. Everything what you said is just your opinion. I saw a lot of people with different opinions for this bike. I have a msx 125 Honda. Very dark grey. Some people say that the bike will ride 55 km p our but it it's better to ride 45 with this bike. With 60 miles an our there is absolutely no problem. It's for every person different. Some people say its a good beginner bike, other people say that it has not enough power. I did listen to that 45 km per uur and it was absolutely not true for me. Al the video's with advice for other people to buy one our not, it really is everyone own opinion.
But this bike is really awesome. This little motorsycle. When you acceleratie with this thing it feels very good, it feels different than a motorcycle with much power, its a different kind of good feeling. A lot of people will like it, man and woman and i think that is very nice. Because other motorcycle are so big and to big and clumpsy. This thing is for everybody, same like cart driving. I have motorcycle lessons right now because of this Honda Msx. I wanted to ride this thing! I really love this thing. the seat is also very comfortable together with the handlebars! !! Yes!
i have a vespa 125 do you think if i sell it and buy grom it will be faster on lights? Its all i care about, being fast on green light and being able to ride 55-60mph, my vespa does max 50 and i feel like something is going to break when i use this speed;D
@@kub9 honestly i would just get a 300 or 400cc bike. They are beginner bikes and still can do good speeds like 70mph and 80mph
@@therealdabid In Poland we can drive 125cc with car license anything above needs a bike one
and i need something small to avoid traffic etc.
@@kub9 a grom accelerates well until 45. It goes about 55 uphill and can go 81 downhill with me at 165lbs.
@@therealdabid what about being faster than scooters on green lights?
Awesome build bro I just bought same cateye check out my SPEEDSHACK page I did a review and build otw what lift is on there ?
Thanks man. Im on a Fabtech 6” lift on 35s
I’m wanting to get a stunt bike and thinking about a grom. Probably will get a Duke 390 though cause it has the capacity to actually go interstate speeds. I currently own a 1290 SDR and that thing is WAY to expensive for me to even think about wheelies, plus it’s so torquey I feel like it wouldn’t really leave room for error.
@@Winky_Face yeah a grom makes you focus on good form since it has a lack of power
I bought a cruiser off a friend. Def more enjoyable than his grom.
Thats fair lol
If you go from a 125cc bike straight to a 600cc bike you should reevaluate your choices
@@logancarty2542 this is true.
What about a 390 straight to a 1290?
@@Winky_Face thats rough
@@therealdabid I’ve had a blast with my 1290! I think it entirely depends on the rider though. I don’t do wheelies or cut up in traffic and I only full send it on open interstate with no other traffic. Having a powerful bike has taught me better throttle and clutch control than the 390 ever could have because the margin for error is so much lower. I don’t recommend everyone just jump onto one though lol
I went to a Grom to Cbr600rr and now Yamaha R1😊
3:40 unless you have 30 friends all with groms
@@MikeLasruk real
I prefer to just cruise on my own. And I also have a friend group of big bikes, they understand where I max out and stay with me.
a mt15 or cb-150f is a lot better as 'only' bike, if those are available at not that different price to a grom. grom controls are made for like a 150-160 cm person, then it's ideal. but then again here grom(msx125) isn't a for most persons a meme bike of any sort like it is sort of in the west, the motorbike culture is just so different, it's popular as a bike to go to school for girls and for shorter old guys and it is trendy in the sense that it's 'better' social status than a honda wave. it's not a bad bike to go to 7/11 or whatever even if you're taller and it is an easy bike to learn to drive manual clutch, it just sucks to drive any longer distances compared to even a wave-125i ergonomics wise, if you treat it just as a motorbike on practical terms of being a motorbike the 150cc class streetfigher style honda and yamaha bikes are just SO much better(and have so much more power) - in the west that class seems to not exist at all though and it's straight up to at least a mt-03 which is much more expensive much more powerful already, while the 150cc class would offer great value for a daily motorbike.
Yeah honestly you need a 300cc or higher for interstate though. Groms are for the memes and stunts. Like i said it’s a great 2nd bike to have. Im 5’6” 160lbs and the grom is great for me
I wish you could buy the mt15, cb150f, and other 150cc-class bikes in the USA. There are more liter bikes than street bikes under 300cc here. 😕 I have a 600cc, and I can't imagine ever using more than that.
@@avocadoenjoyer8511 the power difference(and usability) is legit crazy when the displacement difference is just 25cc, like around 8 hp more than a grom. chinese need 250cc to match the japanese design 150's. of course usa has a big market of cheap secondhand 300-600 bikes whereas here those retain value pretty well.
i appreciate you for this. Thank you 🙏
@@RealKyn no problem
That's a nice whip, man. Honda was my first love.
@@greebuh thanks man
@@therealdabid No problem, I made tons of people in far more expensive rides cry in my Ef with a boosted Z6. Light cars pull nasty with a decent amount of power.

@@NewDesignVinylGraphics might have to weld a new nut under the car or tap it to a different bolt size
Sit back on the seat more and don't try so hard to pull up. Get into a 1st gear roll lean back then clutch in, half throttle, dump clutch!
Thanks for the tip! Since this video which was filmed about a couple weeks ago I have made tons of progress and actually am able to hit balance point. I learned to lean back more and trust the rear brake.
