If only Quarry and the other underground mutants somehow came back during this arc since it’s where the turtle who cured them suffered the same fate they did: transforming into a mindless mutated monster. Sydney, along with the rest would have been horrified at what happened to Don and many other people during the Outbreak. They’d most likely help in curing Donnie too to repay his kindness and also because nobody deserved to suffer the fate of being monsters. Sidney, as well as Stonebiter and Razorfist would have been major players in the final episodes of the storyline. I can imagine Stonebiter helping Leatherhead subduing monster Donnie. Such a wasted opportunity for Sydney/Quarry to return.

I feel bad for what happened to Subject T95-81, because he was once a soldier before Bishop's scientists turned him into a monster. What's worse is that the soldier's wife knew what happened to him and she told her son that his dad died on duty. It would be interesting if comic writers did a TMNT 2003 comic miniseries as a sequel to the episode where the soldier's son grows up finding out the truth about how his father became what he is. This will lead to him becoming a scientist to find a cure for his father's condition, but he'll seek revenge against the man responsible, Bishop.

It’s during this arc Karai became more like Mileena from Mortal Kombat: a vengeful, violent ruler of a clan or nation that took her evil fathers throne after the latter’s demise, determined to take revenge on those who defeated her vile father. Such a shame. I liked it better when Karai was more like Kitana: an adopted child of evil who always questioned her father and conflicted about her place and was also more honorable than the person who raised her.
