Blastoise should not stop doing cancels. He is so fast when you master the shell stance cancels. This here 4:07 is a perfect example of combo start+disengage bait into wallsplat and the infamous fully charged (is that Aurora beam?) shot, beautifully executed. An easy bait people don't expect and often fall into is Y,Y,Y (they try to hit or grab because the combo without cancel ends), X (at this point you critical them if they grab, you wallsplat if they attack and you jump behind them if they counter). After the wall splat you wait for them to drop at your level, Y, 8A (hold) for maximum damage. The bait we see in 4:07 is usually (corner) Y,Y, shell stance cancel back, Y.
