Nice! I sadly never trained This one. Just took him out to see how he would do after he watched my Standard Poodle hunt a couple times. So he really didn’t get it till the end of our hunt. Good luck!

Thanks! I trained him on upland hunting since he was a very young pup. That’s definitely his strong suit. He has really learned to hold on birds for a decent time and is one of the best retrieval dogs I have ever got to hunt with. He loves the water but is very new to duck hunting. This video was his third time ever going. We went last year twice and got one duck haha But all in all he is a fantastic retriever dog. Can mark dead birds in cat tails and grasses. Aswell as in the water while it’s dark. And go get them no problem. Some of my recent pheasant videos show him pretty good. Like my thanksgiving day pheasant hunt. Thanks for watching! -Shawn

@@shawnv8772 how are you liking him? My husband is hunting with ours too.. we are in Canada. Will get some videos. Ours is super confident and bomb proof.. very goofy.. sometimes too crafty for his own good and great with our kids. He’s very friendly and outgoing and gets mistaken for a doodle due to his haircut lol.

@@shawnv8772 I'm in Sauk county (wi dells/Baraboo ) area. We have great land to with lots of birds released but they are hunted hard to. But there's a great little Game farm about 10 min up the road who is just getting started Stonehouse Pheasants, great guy really hope they succeed if your down this way wanna get some birds hit me up My shooting goes in spurts. That day I was carrying my trusty Wingmaster rarely miss with that but no prestige in carrying a field gun all day everyday.

@@tieoneon1614 would definitely recommend. Very nice machine for only being 2WD. Had studs on rear tires for winter. Yeah that’s a nice place to launch out of. Tight lines this winter man!

@@shawnv8772 thats exactly what I intended to do, tech screws for studs. I live just north of there, as kids we jumped on our quads, hit the rivers and could access almost anywhere by connecting the bay or other rivers. Im an enduro bike guy, need something to explore on during the winter. Nice vids, I recognized the power lines in Dunbar too

@@shawnv8772 Thanks for answering. We got a Standard poodle for our family as well and my husband was resistant to the idea because of the fou fou stigma. But here is a hunting poodle..proving everyone wrong!

Neither! Wisconsin doesn’t have trail passes for wheelers only sleds. Just make sure you are registered! A few parks need state passes to park or bring wheelers into. If you are a non resident you will need a trail pass though.

John Johnson majority yes! You should be able to take the railroad grade all the up to Florence. If you drop off in crivitz, you can go almost anywhere. Riding up to Goodman/Dunbar is great too!
