First time Im witnessing something like this and seeing a suit like this, thanks for filming, really educational!
He's cranking that because these things hold so much electricity, you cannot slowly connect the contact points or theyll arc, so a machine needs to be spring-loaded to avoid arcing. Depending on the job, there's a guy that holds a pole with a loop around it. His entire job is to pull the guy working the box just in case he explodes or starts frying. There's also a crew of up to 4 other people whose job is to pull the guy with a pole in case he starts frying too

@@michaelireland9592no. Hes "racking in" a breaker, into its cubicle. The breaker has to be open, as your pushing the line side breaker poles onto a live bus. But you make/break the load with the breaker, inside the vacuum bottles as this is VCB gear.
