I was a dueling pianist for ten years. I played every Billy Joel song ever written and met dozens of professional dueling pianists/piano bar players who could also play these songs note for note. From my perspective, there is no more dedicated Billy Joel following than piano bar players, as they have to bang out his songs every night. I would start there to find someone who could fill the role. That would give it some legitimacy. It would also offer a fresh face, much in the same way as 'Rocketman' introduced Taron Egerton to the world.

Now they have a hefty asset under their name and a way to make money without actually having to work. Buy them assets, never give someone cash you'll just have to pay taxes on them. Typically there's a 10k limit on cash gift giving. Avoid that by setting them up for success, don't give them a choice just raise them up with you.
