Back in Junior High, we would slow dance to songs like this. 😊
@@chanel2018-k3z I wish I could have been alive in a time like you were in!😊
Western movies and hully gully are other songs by the olympics.
I believe the B side of this record is Hully Gully!
I do in fact have the 78RPM record of this song but due to its condition it is unplayable, so sorry!
I like this song! Thanks for putting this out.
After being forgotten for nearly 20 years, the song got revived thanks to its inclusion in 'American Graffitti" My 2025 goal is to find a nice stack vintage turntable like yours so we can play our rock and roll & other 78s on. Yours looks good.
Covered immediately by The 5 Keys, another Black R&B group for Capitol Records. Their version was slightly more up-tempo in arrangement.
I haven't heard this song in a while. What i really like is that vintage record player with the BSR changer.
@@vintageradio58 Thank you! And if you were wondering, it is a 1962 Arvin Stereo record player 56P38

Wow, what a truly magical experience this song is!** 🎄🎶 From the very first note, *The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don’t Be Late)* captures the essence of holiday cheer in a way that no other song can. Every time it plays, it feels like the world slows down for a moment and we're transported to a simpler time, where everything was brighter and filled with wonder. **The genius of this song lies in its perfect combination of humor and heart.** Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, those lovable chipmunks, bring their signature mischief and charm to the track, creating a performance that is simultaneously hilarious and heartwarming. It's not just a song-it's an unforgettable moment of pure joy that fills the room with laughter and happiness. **David Seville’s role cannot be overstated, either.** His voice, his musical genius, and the playful interaction with the Chipmunks is what truly makes this song a timeless masterpiece. He doesn't just *sing*-he *performs*, and that magic he brings to the table transforms this into an experience, not just a tune. His presence is the perfect foil to the chaotic energy of Alvin and the gang, and it feels like a celebration every time they harmonize together. **The lyrics themselves are a work of art, filled with warmth, innocence, and a touch of playful pleading.** The Chipmunks’ sweet, high-pitched voices as they nervously ask for their Christmas presents-"Don't be late!"-have a childlike earnestness that tugs at the heartstrings. It’s a call to the magic of the season, where hopes and dreams are simple and sweet, and every wish feels possible. **This song is also a powerful reminder of the power of nostalgia.** Every time I hear it, I’m transported back to my childhood-sitting by the Christmas tree, surrounded by family, with the glow of twinkling lights filling the room. This song is synonymous with memories of pure holiday joy, and it taps into that deep well of warmth and comfort that only music can provide. **The performance itself is a whirlwind of energy.** Alvin’s cheeky, bold personality contrasts perfectly with the more laid-back Simon and the adorable, often shy Theodore. Each Chipmunk has its own distinct charm, and that dynamic adds so much to the joy of the song. Watching them interact with David Seville is like watching a magical performance come to life right in front of your eyes-it’s pure entertainment at its finest! **And yet, despite all the humor, there’s something deeply emotional about this song too.** It speaks to the universal feelings of anticipation, hope, and the joy of giving and receiving. When Alvin and the Chipmunks sing their hearts out, it's impossible not to smile and feel that rush of holiday spirit coursing through you. It’s a reminder that Christmas isn’t just about presents-it’s about love, family, and togetherness. **The arrangement of the song is sheer brilliance.** The orchestration blends beautifully with the Chipmunks’ high-pitched voices, creating a unique sound that’s instantly recognizable and undeniably infectious. The way the music builds and swells throughout the track mirrors the excitement and energy of Christmas morning. It’s not just a song-it’s an experience that you feel in your bones. **The impact of this song on popular culture is undeniable.** *The Chipmunk Song* has become a holiday staple for families all over the world, and its legacy continues to live on through generations. There’s something about hearing it that feels like the holiday season *has* officially arrived. The Chipmunks have earned their place in Christmas history, and this song is a key reason why. **This is more than just a performance-it’s a *tradition*.** It’s one of those rare songs that doesn’t just play in the background of holiday celebrations-it *becomes* a part of the experience. Whether you’re singing along with your loved ones, or just listening quietly, there’s something special about hearing it again and again. It’s a song that’s woven into the fabric of Christmas itself. **Every time I hear it, it feels like I’m reliving my favorite holiday memories.** The sound of Alvin’s voice, the playful exchanges with David Seville, and the magical atmosphere they create together all combine to form a perfect holiday moment. This song does more than just bring joy-it brings memories. It reminds me of the warmth and excitement of past Christmases, of the joy of spending time with the people you love, and of the excitement that comes with the holidays. **In a world that can sometimes feel chaotic, *The Chipmunk Song* offers a simple, pure joy that we can all relate to.** It’s a reminder of the beauty of innocence, the fun of holiday traditions, and the magic of Christmas. It’s the kind of song that stays with you, that you find yourself humming long after the holiday season has passed. No matter how many years go by, the Chipmunks and their Christmas anthem will always hold a special place in our hearts. **Thank you, Chipmunks, for giving us this gift.** This song isn’t just a holiday tune-it’s an enduring piece of musical history that brings us together year after year. It’s a testament to the power of music, the magic of the holiday season, and the joy of sharing those moments with the ones you love. *The Chipmunk Song* will forever be a beloved part of Christmas, and I can’t imagine a holiday season without it!
Thanks for posting this song! I'm looking for another song by the Coasterettes. If you have "The Chipmunk Song", can you please post it? Thanks. John
