      Let me know how the water level is if you are going this year. The Parsnip looks really low by the Mackenzie junction.

      @@DrivenToXplore tried to answer a few times but my comment keeps disappearing. its super shallow. once you are in the arctic creek you have to stay moving, the first dam is about 4 feet high. only 2 boats could make it. we had a 17 foot firefish piranha. coming back down over the dam you land in about a foot of water so shes a bit rough lol. we went about an hour further up the parsnip and it was getting super skinny. only the heavy built boats made it too moose creek.

      it was. lots of history to the place and many different iterations of the inn. I was first there in the early 60's and even by then it had a storied history.

    Such a great place , I have spent many years and trips in Northern BC. One thing I just don't get, why do you spoil the outdoors with music on the boat and shore ? Doesn't anybody just like the silence of the north ? The boats are loud enough.

    Just found your video, fantastic to watch such a great video. I’ve been to these areas every year in the fall. I’ve learned about the trappers and early explorers on the area. “the Crooked river rats” is one book that’s an excellent read. I really enjoyed this video! Cheers.

    As a person who's never been in a jet boat I do have one question how necessary is it to go full speed I can understand needing to get over shallows and the beaver dams but I would like to know because I do want to get a jet boat myself to be able to explore rivers and stuff and to get to some friends Placer claims to do some gold panning and high banking

      I am not a jet boat pilot, but I know when you are going through shallow water, sharp turns, and trying to get over or through things, it is necessary to go at higher speeds to get up on plane

    Hey there!! We did this as part of our Bella Coola adventure. In regards to that elevated road, yes there is access to it. Nice to see they put that pickup back on its “feet” as it was on its side about 20’ into the bush. Did you have to winch up that hill with the trees in the middle? Fun trail there! When we were at the top of that hill, we went the same way you did - but had to turn around - WAY to much deadfall for us to clear - nice to see someone opened it up!!

      Oh I want to go to Bella Coola!! I couldn't see the access road. Surprisingly I didn't have to winch up the scary hill 😅 but it was a slow climb.

      @@DrivenToXplore excellent- always a pain to winch - yeah we went most of the way to Bella Coola off-road - unfortunately due to Covid closures (at a couple of reservations) we could only do about 75% of our route off-road. We are hoping to try again next year, with the return portion taking the McKenzie trail… will be an epic journey that’s for sure!!
