Big ol Pa Musky on the fly
This Musky was hot in the pants even though it was frigid in and out of the water! She was fat and healthy and I was happy to catch her!
Hope you all liked…tight lines!

Worked hard to get this trophy Musky to eat my fly
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.21 день назад
The current pushed me too close to the cover and I was in the process of backing out to recast when this Musky came charging out to check my fly out. She really liked the speed of my figure eight but didn’t want to commit to eating in the turns for some reason. She wanted my fly presented the way she wanted and I was finally able to give her that presentation. I’ve caught some big Musky before ...
Bridge Piling Musky on the fly
Просмотров 53521 день назад
It’s well known that fish like to hang around bridges, Musky included. Bridges get a lot of brush and debris that hang up on and around them giving bait fish like suckers and carp places to hide. In addition the bridge pilings break the current and predator fish will hang out in these slack spots waiting for bait fish to swim past them in the current. This is exactly what this Musky was doing a...
Shallow water Musky

No better fly fishing experience than to have a hungry Musky explode on your fly at the boat! It happens so fast and it “usually” results in a solid hookup because they eat it so fast and aggressive. Battling the Musky AND the wind
Просмотров 3621 день назад
Throwing big Musky flies in a heavy wind is a pain but can be very productive if you know how to use it in your favor. Wind disturbing the water and pushing bait around is a magnet for predator fish like a Musky and the fish were stacked in this spot on this day. All I had to do was keep casting until a fish decided to eat and that’s exactly what happened. I’m pumped for my first Musky of 2025....
Client Autumn working hard to get this Musky to eat.

Autumn was finishing her figure eight and about ready to recast when this nice Musky showed up to investigate her fly. She stuck with it and continued to figure eight for several minutes when the fish suddenly attacked her fly. What a text book figure eight eat! The fish was thrashing on the surface and I tried to steal a quick net job but the fish had other plans and jumped out of the net and ...

@@Midge1k I appreciate it! It’s a 12wt. I like using a heavier rod for throwing bigger sized Musky flies and to have some more backbone when you hook a big girl. Some of the giants that I’ve caught I couldn’t imagine using a lighter fly rod. I’ll be posting a video soon of a 53” musky that I caught just before Christmas that shows how much a big fish bends a 12wt.
