I’m sure you didn’t make it clear through this video and I don’t blame you, but if you watch to the very end I show how it should just slide right out without taking it apart. Only reason to take it apart is if your cable doesn’t want go back through it and catching in there.

The overall size is very close, same wheel sizes. The 400 has a little taller seat height. The 250 is lighter and has a close ratio 6 speed transmission. The 400 has a 5 speed.

It is pretty loud when you first start moving from a stop.

I got the pistons from GM dealer. I got the piston kit part number listed for the special coverage bulletin for the 2013 equinox. It comes with all 4 pistons and ring sets in one box and it a little less money than buying the pistons individually. Just search up this bulletin number and you should be able to find it with the parts list. Special Coverage Adjustment N192291100 Excessive Engine Oil Consumption

FYI, You don’t have to remove the engine to replace the pistons. I found my rod bearings had damage from being ran low on oil so I ended up removing the engine so I could inspect the main bearings for damage. I just smoothed out the crank bearing journals a little and installed new bearings. So far it’s running good.

I’m not into the new helicopters so I don’t know what’s out there now but with most RC helicopters having fly bar less controllers I am pretty sure most of them have a governor built in as part of the FBL system. If you’re flying an old gasser like this you could probably get away without using a governor. Just adjust the throttle curve settings manually in your transmitter, unless you like doing tricks and flying inverted then governor can make it way easier to keep engine speed.

I know not the best when it comes to feel and quality but the phone APP and telemetry on these is pretty cool and the receivers are a reasonable price.

Thanks I thought the battery was a pretty good idea too. I did build it myself but it wasn’t easy and took quite a bit of time. I did enjoy the challenge though. I used tinker cad to design and draw up the battery holders and 3D printed them. Spot welded the batteries together. Soldered in a BMS. It took time and the battery has to be able to flex where the bend in the frame is at. The frame has tabs sticking up inside of it that I had to sand down with a long pipe in a drill and piece of sand paper that I glued onto the end of it. If I had to do it all over again I’d probably just buy a pre built battery pack mounted to the frame or seat but I do like how mine turned out and it is still working good. Don't underestimate the ingenuity of being able to hide that big ass battery in bicycle real estate that has already been written off and wasted. That is the absolute genius part of the this...if you were to somehow print a thin plastic case that the batteries could slip into before putting them into the bike...the market is huge....maybe not the recumbent market but you could find other applications and patent this. I dont have the other parts to build mine yet but you would have at least one customer right here....and name your price....thats how cool it is....everytime I look this up I end up looking at what part of the frame do I have to give up to fit a battery on. I have the pannier racks on my bike and yes there is space available but still....I haven't yet settled on building a trunk that attached to the back of the seat and rides on top of the frame piping you stuffed the battery into.@@Toadster250

I had thought about building more than one and maybe selling this but these bikes are hard to find and not very popular so don’t think people would pay a whole lot for this type of bike with a motor. My biggest concern is how safe is my battery set up? I was very careful keeping the wires insulated but being inside the frame I do worry about a shorts that could cause a lithium ion battery fire. I can’t risk selling this setup. It would take a lot to engineer a battery that would be 100% safe for the general public. Did you see how tricky it was sliding the battery in and out? I pretty much leave it in all the time but it’s kind of tricky and I am very careful while doing it.

It is a good bike to add a e-bike hub motor. It’s a little heavy and slow but the motor takes care of that. The suspension works great for the higher speeds I get with the motor when hitting small cracks in bike paths and street crossings. The rear disc brake can handle the stops since most of the weight is on the rear. Check out my other video, it shows a few pictures of the battery pack I built myself using 3D printed parts I designed myself.
