I love watching you stitch. Your pattern is very nice and watching you stitch is very calming. What size needle do you use?

You can go into settings and slow this down to watch it being assembled. Take a rectangle and turn down the edges on both ends and fold over again to the width of the passage for cording. Then you see it into place. Place the pouch right sides together sewing the side seams. Thread some cording through the casing once or twice in opposite directions. You could also box the bottom. Just flatten the seam and sew off a triangle. I've been making various bags etc. I hope that helps. I appreciate the simplicity of these leaves. I can do this. I love the colours. I need to go collect me some leaves. I have been wanting to do sashiko this fall. This will be a reminder of when I started. I could even do a pointsette for Christmas. Or do the word JOY in block letters. Must run I have to gather my supplies. Thank you!!

This is the BEST & EASIEST one i have seen. My boss's wife would like ne to make a short duffle bag such as this for a gift for her friend with a loop up top but the lope attached to the inside seam to be the guide for the yarn for knitting. I also need to add a hem allowance for the draw string. I am up for tge challenge definitely now after seeing this wonderful video. If i succeed at this maybe i can make more to sell. I would like to try and get a nice floral print in tge Waverly fabric which is substantial fabric for ware and tare everyday use. Blessings, Rebekah in VA

Seems odd to me because I introduce my needle from the rear when stitching the patches together. I must try your way. Pushing may be easier than pulling! Thank you. Lovely colours. And such fun combining EPP and sashiko embellishments. But does the linen get scrunched, as linen tends to?
