Because I feel like it has happened and it resulted in a a very significant collision to the ground because I feel it locked up an electric scooter. So is that possible or not? Worst system ever. Too many paying customers are stopped and harassed. This system can not tell a theft from a payment. Too many ways the system can fail.

I don't think that the thr unlock zone happens on any store, but I have seen that inside the stores, the karts are locked even though the carts are not near the store exit, like Marshall's in NJ

They should also put a scale on the cart that is tied to the checkout scale to make sure self-serve customers are scanning everything.
